Nothing is Impossible with God
Dearly beloved of God, have you ever faced situations with impossible odds against you? Fear not, you are not alone; many before us have faced the impossible and have overcome by the power of God exerted for them.
You and I share a common history as sons of God. Our Father has always been and always will be faithful to His dearly beloved children.
We have the privilege of being able to read God’s Word and look back at how He delivered believers that came before us.
We are not the first to live in extraordinary times; far from it. Many lived in far worse circumstances than we have faced, but in all of them God was faithful to deliver His people as He promised.
Why don’t you take the time and compile a journal of the times God intervened in your life and delivered you previously, and of the times He worked in you to minister deliverance to others? We should never forget His goodness to us, dearly beloved. Our God is for us and we need no other.
It does not matter if the deliverance we need concerns salvation, healing, finances, family, business, personal attacks, safety, deliverance in battle, or even in the face of death itself; we have God’s resources to draw upon. He is our God, and He is present with you, He hears your cry, and He will deliver you.
The adversary constantly lies to us from every source he can influence or control to get us to doubt God’s faithfulness and willingness to deliver us.
He is a liar, the deceiver that deceives the world. There is no truth in him. He will always try to get you to believe you are not good enough for God to deliver you. Don’t buy it!
Dearly beloved, there are two things that stand out in every record we read concerning how God delivered His people: their frailty, weakness, and inability, and God’s Almighty power and willingness to deliver them.
Without Him they were hopeless; with Him they were hopeful: so it is with us. Beloved, nothing with God is ever impossible. He has the power to back up everything He says. What is too hard for the Almighty, the Creator of the Heavens and earth? As He spoken so it shall be.
God was able and willing to deliver them regardless of the odds against them, whether He had to deliver them from the worldwide flood, or make a path through the sea, or through the Jordan at flood stage, or cause the walls of Jericho to fall before them, or make the sun stand still in its course so they could win the battle, or turn the sun backwards ten degrees for Hezekiah, or even after three days and nights to raise Jesus Christ from the dead, never to die again.
God is the same today as He was then. As we walk out on God’s Word and obey Him, He will make a way for us where there appears to be no way.
We can do nothing without Christ; with him we can do all things through him who empowers us.
If we are to see God’s deliverance we must listen to Him and obey His instructions. He is willing to direct our paths as He did for others before us.
He works in us to will (by revealing His will by word of knowledge, word of wisdom, and discerning of spirits) and to do (by energizing His power in us by the manifestations of believing, miracles, and gifts of healings) of His good pleasure.
We can “claim” what God reveals we can claim according to the revelation He may give us in that situation. When He directs us we most surely can do whatever He says.
It is available to do the works Christ did and even greater; to lead people into the new birth and make the entrance into the kingdom of God known to them.
God is the mighty One, dearly beloved, and if we will walk with Him all of His resources are at our disposal. Rely on His great love, mercy, and grace for us; we are His dearly beloved and we are highly favored in His sight. God our Father is for us; He cares for us.
Dearly beloved, let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need; He is faithful that promised, dearly beloved, even against all odds.
