God's Justice is Coming
Dearly beloved of God, we were justified by Christ; this is the beginning of God's justice in Christ. We will be glorified with him, also, but there is more justice coming.
Today is man's day and he does the judging. The Lord's Day is coming and he will do the judging. God's justice is coming!
The God of the hope is our Father. On the day of redemption God will send His Son to redeem us from this earth, and from death itself. On that day we will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Come quickly Lord Jesus!
The Lord Jesus Christ will descend from heaven and gather us together up to him. He will rescue us from the power of darkness and will physically complete our transfer into the kingdom of God’s beloved Son.
The Lord Jesus Christ will transfigure our humiliated bodies to be like his glorious body, but dearly beloved this is only the beginning of the glory to come. Eternity lies before us.
It will take God our Father the ages to come to display the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness to us in Christ; the gathering together is only the opening event!
Today it is Christ in you, the hope of glory. When he comes we will receive the glory of the inheritance for which we long. This is the first step of God's justice concerning our hope in Christ.
After we are gathered together up to meet the Lord in the air, and we are at rest, the events of the book of revelation will begin to unfold on the earth. This period of time is the Day of the Lord, or Lord’s Day.
The Lord Jesus Christ will then fulfill the will of His Father concerning things to come that are today held in abeyance.
God put all things in subjection under Christ’s feet. He did not leave anything that will not be subject to him, however, currently we do not yet see “all things” subjected to him. It is coming!
Today we see Jesus crowned with glory and honor, who was briefly made lower than the angels for the suffering of death so that he, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
Next, God will send the Lord Jesus Christ to gather us up to him in glory. After this occurs the events of the Lord’s Day will begin to unfold.
During the Lord’s Day there will be a period of great tribulation on earth. After that God will send His Son as King of kings, and Lord of lords to the earth. When he comes it will be with power and great glory. He will fulfill God’s will on earth as it is in heaven.
The Lord Jesus Christ will the beast and the kings that followed him. He lay hold on the Devil and bind him for a thousand years.
The Lord will raise those who were beheaded during the great tribulation for the witness of Jesus Christ; this is the first resurrection.
The Lord will subdue every enemy and put down all rule and all authority and power, for he must reign until he has put all enemies under his feet.
At the end of the 1,000 years Satan will be loosed out of his prison, and he will deceive the nations and they will come to battle against the beloved city. Fire will fall down from God and devour them. The devil will be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone.
After that, the great white throne judgment will take place. The book of life and the books will be opened, and the dead will be judged out of the books.
At the resurrection of the just and unjust the dead will stand before the throne. The just will be separated from the unjust. The just will be raised to everlasting life. The unjust will be sentenced to destruction and cast into the lake of fire. Whosoever is not found written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire.
Death and hell [the state of death] will be cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death: the lake of fire.
Then God will make all things new again in the third heaven and third earth. The glorious new Jerusalem will descend out of heaven and settle on the new earth with all the glory described in Revelation 21 and 22.
Justice is coming, dearly beloved, God's justice! Be patient, and thank God for the hope He gave us in Christ! He is coming!
II Thessalonians 1:4-10 Working Translation:
“Therefore, we ourselves boast about you among the churches of God regarding your patience and believing in all your persecutions and afflictions that you endure.
It is evidence of the just judgment of God for you to be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer,
since it is just with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you
and to you who are afflicted along with us to repay rest at revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his messengers of power.
With flaming fire, he will give vengeance against those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel regarding our Lord Jesus [Christ].
They will be sentenced to eternal destruction from the face of the lord and from the glory of his prevailing ability
after he comes to be glorified in his holy [sanctified] ones and to be admired in that day by all those who have believed (for our witness to you was believed).”
