Maturing Sons of God

Dearly beloved of God, we are NOW the children of God since we have confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him from the dead. We were born again of God’s spirit, which is by incorruptible seed. This is sonship. This relationship is by birth, and like our natural birth it cannot be lost.

We are born into our earthly family as a baby. The same is true when we are born again in the family of God. Babies must grow up or mature. Maturity doesn’t just happen; a child has to be taught, and if they are to mature, they will have to be trained. They will have to submit to God’s plan for development.

Every baby in the family of God starts out with the same rights, the same privileges, and the same spiritual ability. We are complete in Christ Jesus, completely filled with everything he made available to us in the new birth. We are born again, each child having the same potential inherent in the birth.

The child must learn how to utilize the rights, the ability, and the privileges that are legally his.

Once we are born again, we may continue to walk after the flesh as we did as natural men, or we can learn how to walk in the spirit, that is, by the complete new birth reality. The walk as a son of God is not automatic.

We grow as we study the Word of God and put it in application by believing it. We change our thinking from thinking like natural men, to thinking like the sons of God we are. As we renew our minds and believe who we are in Christ, it will transform us as we walk with Him.

Dearly beloved, the Word of God reveals that it is the spirit of Christ in you. We are joint-heirs with Christ, and we have a legal right to everything that Christ had when he walked the earth.

Those that believe in Jesus Christ can do the works he did, and greater because he went to the Father to make it available.

Dearly beloved, let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. If we are to mature and grow up in Christ we must think in the same manner as Christ Jesus thought, and believe God according to His Word as our Lord did.

God tells us that “all things are yours” … “and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s”. Believe it, dearly beloved! In the past we believed so many things Satan said about us, why not believe what our Heavenly Father says that we are in Christ?

We have to rise up to believe what God says. God moved in Christ, now it’s our turn to move as we operate the power of God and utilize the authority we have in Christ to do the works he said we can do.

We don’t approach God like some beggar begging for food, we go to Him believing we are who He says we are in Christ, and that we have what He says we have in Christ, and that we can do what He says we can do with the power of Christ in us.

We walk as the sons of God He says we are. This is how mature sons of God walk with Him.

The key to power is believing who we are in Christ, renewing our minds to this revelation knowledge, and walking out on it boldly as the sons of God we are. He wants us to abide in him, and walk in the good pleasure of God’s Will. This is how mature sons of God walk with Him.

“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7
