We Are in a Fight

Dearly beloved of God, God is the Light in the midst of the darkness that surrounds us. Regardless of our enemies, God is our Deliverer. Regardless of the odds against us, the Almighty God is for us. He is our sufficiency in every situation.
Fear not, you are not alone. He will never leave you, or ever, ever forsake you.
The pandemic, riots and the burning of our cities have both devastated lives, and our economy, an attempt to defund the police, closing prisons and releasing criminals, a corrupt press, history revision, cancel culture, mob rule, a critical election (so vote!), a push to change how we vote, race baiting, a failed educational system, open boarders, gangs and crime ruining our inner cities, sanctuary cities, the “swamp” and corrupt politicians are only symptoms of the problem: walking away from the One True God is the problem.
Fear not! This is not a political fight though it may appear to be so at first glance. It is the same one that began with the overthrow in the first heaven and earth, and later in the garden.

Ephesians 6:10-13
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles (strategies) of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (the spirits of wickedness in the heavenly realm.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (The verses that follow describe the armor of God we must put on.)
Whether one chooses to believe it or not, this is the solution to the problems that confront us, not only in our nation but worldwide. The adversary is at work behind the scenes to implement his agenda in this evil world.
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He That is in you, than he that is in the world.” These are the words of Almighty God; believe them.
Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Whether the adversary orchestrates situations that afflict us with vice-like mental pressures (tribulation) or he sets up extremely distressing situations that put us between a rock and a hard place (distress), they cannot separate us from the love of Christ.
Whether our enemies constantly hound us (persecution) or whether we are destitute and suffer severe lack at times (famine or nakedness) or whether we are hit head-on with dangerous situations designed by the adversary to paralyze us with fear (peril), they cannot separate us.
Whether we are the victims of the cutting words of character assassination by the accuser and his minions or whether we face death itself (sword), nothing can separate us from the love of Christ!
These are the devil’s attempts to burden, obstruct, depress, discourage, intimidate, and to make us afraid so we do not stand as the sons of God.
The adversary is constantly trying to deceive us to get us to reject God and His Word. He wants us to believe that he is greater than God’s ability to deliver us.
He wants us to grow weary from the fight and think that God is the liar and that He will not deliver us according to his Word. The devil is the liar and the deceiver; never forget it.
Romans 8:36
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter (?) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
It is, “through him that loved us”, that we are “more than conquerors,” "in all these things.”
Our God works for our good in all these things. Our Father has not forsaken us, and He never will. We are not alone!
Why does it say we are “more than conquerors” in Romans 8:37? To be a conqueror would be good, would it not? Napoleon was a conqueror, Julius Caesar, and Alexander the Great were conquerors.
As great as their conquests were, they were short-lived, and their victories only covered a limited territory. They are all dead.
What are our boundaries of our victory?
Romans 8: 38 and 39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Whether in life or even in the grave, we are “more than conquerors.” Our victory is not only during this fleetly passing life – it is over death itself, and it is eternal.
No spiritual power – whether angel, spiritual principality, or power can separate us. We are “more than conquerors”, not only in the senses realm but also in the spiritual realm. Our Father delivered us from the power of darkness.
Nothing in the dimension of time – whether past, present, or future; nothing in the dimension of space – whether on earth or in the heavenlies; no created being can separate us God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord . . . in whom we are more than conquerors!
We have the power to tread over all the power of the adversary. The reality of being “more than conquerors through Him that loved us” is a greater reality than any obstacle we may face if we will believe God at His Word and stand.
The Apostle Paul said, “I am persuaded . . .” If we are to live as more than conquerors we must arrive at the same conclusion in our lives as he did and believe what God says.
You may want to refresh your memory with the victories God has given faithful men in their day as they listened to God and believed Him; Hebrews 11 contains many of them.

Dearly beloved, be anxious for nothing; be at peace in your heart, be strong and of good courage, and stand!
