God is Dependable so Depend on Him
Dearly beloved of God, as sons of God we must learn to depend on God’s dependability; He is faithful that promised.
Every single one of the believers we read of in Hebrews 11 depended on God’s dependability. I dare say that we have not lived in such treacherous times as these men and women lived in, yet they depended on God’s dependability and He delivered them.
Our God is able and willing to perform His promises in our lives as He did in theirs. He is faithful that promised, dearly beloved. They depended on God, they trusted in Him.
We can depend on God, He is dependable. He is loyal to those who love Him.
The situations that confront us today are not business as usual, are they?.
Something other than the government, political parties, the economy, jobs, the stock market, alliances, treaties, the mob and anarchy, the climate, natural disasters, or the spread of a pandemic is at work behind the scenes manipulating the circumstances we face. That something is spirit.
God reveals that we do not wrestle with people; we wrestle against spiritual wickedness in the heavenly realm. God also reveals that He has delivered us from the authority of this evil, dark power.
The real question is which spirit has the power to prevail; the “so-called god of this world,” or the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, the One True and Living God, our Father? The One True and Living God will prevail; there is no God, but Him!
We are God’s children, and we can depend on Him to perform what He has promised us in His Word. We can count on our Father; He is dependable. He is the power behind His Word.
Can you depend on the government, politicians, economic institutions, or the world health organization for your sufficiency? No, but we can depend on God’s dependability.
Our God is able to make ALL GRACE abound toward us so that we ALWAYS have ALL SUFFICIENCY in ALL THINGS.
Our God is dependable; we can take Him at His Word. We can trust Him to care for us and to never leave us or forsake us because we are His dearly beloved children; He cares for us.
We cannot trust man’s word, but God is not a man that He should lie. He it the Almighty God, and He is able and willing to supply, to support, and to defend us regardless of what we face. He will direct our paths as we trust Him and obey Him by believing Him.
He will answer our prayers if we will ask of Him having confidence in Him to deliver us. He is dependable.
Are your circumstances greater than Abraham’s were when he left Ur of the Chaldees to go into the land of Canaan, or when God told him that he would be the father of many nations when he was childless in his old age?
Are your circumstances greater than Moses’ when he stood between the Red Sea and the attacking Egyptian army?
Are they greater than Daniel’s when he was thrown in the den of lions?
Are they greater than Shadrack, Meshack, or Abednego’s when they were thrown in the burning fiery furnace?
Are your circumstances greater than David's when he faced Goliath?
They all depended on God’s dependability, and so can you, dearly beloved. We will be more than conquerors if we will depend on Him.
If we depend on anything else, we will be disappointed in our expectations, but not if we depend on our Heavenly Father; He is dependable.
We walk with Him by believing what He says, dearly beloved.
