Happy New Year Dearly Beloved of God!

The world is busy making New Year’s resolutions that often fade with time and carry no lasting results. What about God’s people; what will we be resolved to do in this new year?

Let us decide to believe what God says. Belief or unbelief is manifested by our confession; let us hold fast to our confession of the truth of God’s Word. Let us hold fast the confession of the hope without wavering because the Promisor is faithful!

Dearly beloved, the Lord Jesus Christ said that the Word of God cannot be broken, and he proved it to be true. He gave his life for us and God raised him from the dead as He said He would.

The Word of God does not return void; it accomplishes what God sent it to accomplish.

We are no longer of this world. We live in it, but we are no longer of it. In Christ Jesus we are citizens of the heavenly realm. We are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus; new things have come, and all the new things are of God.

The world did not set the limits of the new birth. The media did not determine the limits of that new creation. Politicians, preachers, nor popes set the limits on who we are in Christ.

Dearly beloved, the limits of our redemption and salvation were set by Almighty God, the One True God, the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Father. Our limits are the limits of the Christ born within us! We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus our Lord whether we face circumstances that heap mental pressures on us, or we are between a rock and a hard place, or we are persecuted, or we suffer a lack of resources, or we find ourselves in dangerous circumstances of risk or hazard, or our lives are threatened with death. These are attempted intimidations by the adversary to tempt us to not believe God at His Word.

Our Father says that we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus our Lord; believe that, not your circumstances. If you want to talk circumstances, read Hebrews 11, and see what those saints did by believing what God said.

Our Father obligated Himself to perform His Word as we believe it. We walk by believing, not by the senses. The just live by believing what God says.

Dearly beloved, New Year’s resolutions may be broken, but the Word of God cannot be broken.

Be fully persuaded that God will do what He promises to do. He made the commitment to perform His Word for those who take Him at His Word. Go to Him with believing confidence. He will not disappoint you in your expectations of Him.

We believe bank statements, Dr.’s diagnoses, judge’s decisions; why not put your believing in God to perform His Word in your life this year? He is at least as competent as they are. What is too hard for Him?

Study His Word to learn His Will. Believe His Word so you can receive what He promises. Confess it in spite of what the circumstances dictate, and watch Him go to work to perform His Word. God is a greater reality than any circumstance we will ever face.

The Word of God becomes a Living Word as we act upon it. Say what God says. Continue to confess it until it comes to pass.

This year do not be conformed to the ideas of this evil age. The ideas of this age will not give you confidence in God; they will lead you away from the One True God.

If we believe the world’s words instead of God’s, we will not walk in the delivering power of God; our effectiveness will shrink instead of grow. The world’s words will leave us ignorant of spiritual realities; we will be double-minded and full of doubts, worries, and fears. We will have anxiety instead of confidence in God and peace.

Believing comes by hearing, by hearing God’s Word. Believing effects outcomes; God’s outcomes. God obligated Himself to perform His Word for those who believe Him. God is faithful to His Word, dearly beloved.

“The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect [Hebrew: “shalem”: whole, complete, safe, at peace, wholeheartedly devoted to Him, whose heart is completely His, perfect] toward Him, dearly beloved.” II Chronicles 16:9

Dearly beloved, let us resolve to not limit God this year; He is the Unlimited One, the Almighty God unlimited in resources to provide, support, deliver, defend, and supply our every need.

Our God is the Fountain of Living Waters. Do not mistake Him for a broken cistern that cannot hold water. Christ Jesus our Lord provided us with unrestricted access to Him by believing.

There are no limits on what He is willing and able to do for us as we believe Him at His Word. Everything that God says is possible. Have a Happy New Year, dearly beloved.
