The One and Only One

Dearly beloved of God, Jesus Christ is the only one to rise out from among the dead. Of all the people that ever died, God raised this man alone out from among the dead! Every other person that ever died is still dead and their body is corrupting in the grave.

God did not leave Jesus in the grave, and in the state of death, nor did He allow him to see corruption; He raised him to life again. Jesus Christ was the first fruit from the dead.

Only after you realize how singly significant Jesus’ resurrection out from among the dead is, do you begin to understand the vast power and authority God has given him. Why do I say “vast power’ was given to him by God?

God validated that Jesus Christ was His Son by raising him from the dead - quite a noteworthy distinction. This distinguishes him from every other person that has ever lived. God made Jesus both Lord and Christ.

God seated him at His right hand in the heavenly realm, far above every ruler and authority and power and lordship, even every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the coming age. He put all things in subjection under his feet and made him head over all things in the Church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all things in all people.

Christ died and lived again that he might be lord over both the dead and the living. He gave him the power over every grave and they will come forth at his command when he returns. He has the power and authority to subdue every enemy. His Father committed all judgement unto him.

The only release from death and the grave according to God’s revealed Word is by confessing Jesus as Lord and believing that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved.

“This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.” God gave us proof that He raised His Son from the dead.

“Therefore, having been lifted up [into heaven] to the right side of God and having received the promise of the holy spirit from the Father, he has poured out this, which you see and hear.” Acts 2:33

This was Peter’s response to the question, “What is the meaning of this?” What did they see and hear? They heard them manifest power from on high for the first time that very day.

We weren’t there, but we received the self-same promise of the holy spirit as they did when we confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him the dead. We received the promise regarding the spirit through believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and we can now manifest it the same as they did.

Now we are sealed with the promised holy spirit, sealed to receive the inheritance of eternal life, and we have the proof; we can speak by the spirit of God and manifest power from on high as they did that day.

God’s spirit witnesses to our inner being that we are the children of God, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. We have the proof that we will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ!

How could a child of God be indifferent or apathetic after having freely received all things with Christ, dearly beloved?

God has given us the revelation knowledge of His Word to explain what we have so freely received, and He has given freely given us the gift of His holy spirit as the deposit of our inheritance, and it enables us to manifest the power of God in our lives.

God can now work in us to will and to do of His good pleasure by the manifestations of His spirit. His spirit enables us to do the works Christ did and greater because he went to the Father to make it available.

Our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ have shown us great grace indeed, dearly beloved. We are of all men indeed dearly beloved and highly favored by both of them.

Walk in the power of his resurrection, and in the power from on high he made available to us in it. He is the Living One, the only one to conquer death.
