From Here to Eternity

Dearly beloved and highly favored by our Heavenly Father, we live in the Administration of the Grace of God, and what a tremendous period of time it is!

In the Word of God there are different administrations, different periods of time of God’s dealings with man.

Originally, Adam and Eve lived in the garden of Eden, having not only natural life, they had spirit life, also. Having been created in the image of God [spirit], God could work with them directly, walk and talk with them so to speak. The day they disobeyed they lost that spirit life; they died that very day; they were dead in sin.

After they lost the spirit of God, God worked with men like Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob had twelve sons that became the twelve tribes of Israel. They were men that believed God. God conditionally put His spirit upon these men at times to communicate with them. They were patriarchs or fathers of believing.

During their time in Egypt, God called Moses and He gave him the revelation of the Law. The Law administration began with Moses and was the standard that God dealt with Israel until Christ fulfilled the Law. (The Law was a portrait of Christ, as was the Tabernacle, the priesthood, the services and the sacrifices. It also provided a standard for God’s justness for natural men and how they were to live so that they did not kill off the nation before Christ could come.)

The Christ administration existed during the time of Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry, which lasted about one year. It included his suffering, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension into the heavenly realm. It involved his fulfilling of the Law and doing what was required to make salvation and redemption available. Christ was the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Ten days after Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and God seated him at His right hand, on the Feast of Pentecost, he poured out the promise of the Father, which was the gift of holy spirit. This began the administration of the Grace of God, the administration of the Mystery.

For the first time in history each and every person that confesses Jesus as Lord and believes that God raised him from the dead receives the promise of the Father, which is spirit life. For the first time in history people are born-again of God’s spirit. God becomes their Father by the spirit of sonship, and they become His children; God’s spirit seed is born within each one of them.

This administration will last until Christ Jesus the Lord returns and gathers the members of his body unto him in the air, both the living ones and the dead in Christ.

After the gathering together, the period called the Lord’s Day, or Day of the Lord will begin. It will be a period of judgment. It involves the period following the gathering together, the time of Jacob’s trouble or the tribulation, the wrath of God, Christ’s coming to the earth to judge and make war, and his subduing of every enemy. The last enemy to be destroyed will be death.

The Day of the Lord will last until the Lord Jesus Christ carries out all judgment and he subdues all enemies. It will conclude following the Great White Throne Judgment and the end of this heaven and earth, then the Son will be subject to God who put all things under him.

The last period of time the scriptures speak of is when God will make all things new again in the new heavens and new earth. This will be an unending period of glory. There will be no more adversary [the devil or Satan]. There will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shalt her be any more pain, for the former things will pass away. God will dwell among His people and they will reign with Him forever and ever.

Dearly beloved, we should thank God everyday for the great grace He has shown us in Christ. We live in the greatest time to be alive since the Garden.

We are born of His spirit and we have the proof that we are saved and have eternal life; we can speak in tongues and worship God as He desires to be worshiped, by the spirit.

God has shown us His grace in Christ, and it will take Him the ages to come to show us the exceeding riches of His grace to us in Christ!

Rejoice and give thanks to God, dearly beloved. Fill your heart with His goodness. It is grace upon grace until we see the Lord face to face, and we meet him in the air, and we are glorified with him. We will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Until then, stand in the grace that God has shown us in Christ, dearly beloved. Why not invite someone else to join the party! All things from here to eternity are ours in Christ Jesus our Lord. Not even death can overcome us forever.
