Great Expectations
Dearly beloved of God, the New Year is quickly approaching, but anyone in Christ is a new creation now. The old things passed away. Behold, new things have come and all of the new things are from God, Who reconciled us to Himself through Christ.
God has shown us great grace. He provided an entrance into His kingdom by being born again. He made us righteous in Christ. In Christ we are holy and without blame before Him. He has forgiven us all our trespasses by the riches of His grace which He abounded to us. He made us accepted; highly favored in the Beloved. He sealed with the holy spirit of promise so that we will receive our inheritance in Christ. Beloved, in Christ He blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm.
New things have come, but wait, there are even more to come!
When Christ returns we will receive glorious new bodies like Christ’s glorious body. The dead in Christ will be raised to life and the living ones will be changed, and together we will be gathered up to meet the Lord in the air.
Sometime after this, Jesus Christ will come to the earth and reign as King of kings, and Lord of lords. After the Lord Jesus Christ has fulfilled all of God’s will, subdued every enemy, carried out all judgment, resurrected every person, some to everlasting life and others to destruction, he will himself be subject unto God.
After that, God will make new heavens and a new earth in which His justness dwells.
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:5
Rejoice, and have an incredibly happy New Year. You are in Christ, dearly beloved, and all things are yours. All the promises of God are yea and amen in him.
Who knows; this could be the year that Christ returns and all the things that the Father has prepared for those who love Him unfold.
God, Who is rich in mercy, for His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, made us alive together with Christ (by grace we are saved), and He raised us up together and caused us to sit together in the heavenly realm in Christ Jesus so that in the coming ages He might display the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Rejoice, dearly beloved, and have a wonderful year of great expectations walking with Him. You will not be disappointed in your expectations of Him; He is true and faithful.
