As We Have Received, So Walk
Dearly beloved of God, in Christ dwells all the fulness of the divine nature bodily and we are complete in him who is the head of all principality and power!
How complete are we in Christ? We are completely, completely, completely, absolutely complete in him. He completely filled us in him. So dearly beloved, walk in that completeness that is in him.
In Christ we were circumcised with the circumcision made without hands in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.
Our circumcision is much better than Abraham’s circumcision, in Christ the old nature of the flesh was circumcised by the circumcision of Christ.
We were buried with him in baptism, and that baptism is much better than John’s baptism with water; we were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and we received the gift of holy spirit from God.
By that baptism we were also raised with him through the right way of believing pertaining to the working of God Who raised him from the dead. We were justified from the reign of sin and death and we were sanctified by his spirit.
Yes you, who were dead in the trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made us alive together with him and forgave us all the trespasses. He gave us new spirit life, eternal life.
We stand on resurrection ground, and in Christ we are now the righteousness of God. In Christ we stand before God without any sense of sin, guilt, or condemnation. When the Lord Jesus Christ returns for us we will be delivered from the presence of sin. Walk in him!
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.
He paid for all our sins in full. For by one offering for sins he perfected forever them that are sanctified. Where there is remission of these there is no more offering for sin.
Having stripped the rulers and the authorities, he exposed them openly to public shame, and by his resurrection out from among the dead he led the defeated spirit powers bound in chains in a triumphal procession.
Beloved, he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men. Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. What a measure of divine favor that is, dearly beloved! Walk in him.
These are accomplished realities today! As we have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so we are to walk in the reality of his accomplishments.
God wants us to think about what Jesus Christ accomplished in the same manner as He thinks about it, and walk like the children of God we are. We are to walk in the reality of Christ's accomplishments.
Dearly beloved, there are even greater realities coming; eternal life and glorious new bodies like his glorious body, better brains, a better environment, etc., etc., etc.!
We will not be disappointed in our expectation of hope, dearly beloved. Every person that has this hope in Jesus Christ our Lord purifies himself even as he is pure; such grace!
Lift up your eyes and behold the glory of the Lord. All things are yours in Christ. Every promise of God is yea and amen in Christ.
“So as we with unveiled face behold as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, we are all transfigured into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit from the lord.” II Corinthians 3:18
As he is so are we in this world. As you have received, so walk you in him, dearly beloved.
