December 2020
Much More than a New Year is Coming!
Dearly beloved of God, we are drawing closer to our New Year, but more importantly we are drawing nearer to the day of our salvation! Christ is coming! Who knows, it could be today!
Oh what a day that will be when my Savior I shall see! Today we see through a glass darkly, but then we will see face to face. Now we know in part, but then we shall know even as we are known.
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered in the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him.
God has revealed the initial revelation of these hidden things in the great mystery concerning Christ and the Church, and He has also made known another mystery concerning the coming of Christ for the Church, but these are only the opening pages of eternity for us.
Dearly beloved, it is going to take the ages to come for God our Father to show us the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. The content of these ages lies beyond our finite understanding today; it is beyond all we could ask or think, but God has prepared it for us.
God our Father will glorify us together with Christ Jesus our lord. To enjoy these ages to come the lord Jesus Christ will gather together the body of Christ, the Church. He will raise the dead in Christ, and he will transfigure our vile bodies to be fashioned like his glorious body according to the energizing of his ability by which he is able to subdue all things unto himself.
Together we will be raptured up to meet him in the air, and we will never be separated from him again. We will see him, be with him, and be as he is! Such joy!
The year 2020 is fading, dearly beloved, but eternity is drawing nearer and nearer!
We are the children of God, His heirs, and joint heirs with Christ. If we suffer with him, we know that we will be glorified together with him also. I reckon that the sufferings of 2020 are not worthy to compare with the glory which shall be revealed in us! Oh rejoice!
This light affliction which is but for a moment works for us a far more exceeding and eternal heavy weight of glory while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen because the things that are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
He that wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, Who also has given us the earnest of the spirit as a pledge and foretaste of the glory to come. Today we walk by believing; in that day we will live in the reality of glory forever and ever. Rejoice forevermore; he is coming!
We have so much more to look forward to than a New Year’s celebration; we have the ages to come.
We will live to see the day that God our Father will wipe away all the tears from our eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things will have passed away! Rejoice!
There will be no more adversary, no more sin, and no more death; only life that God prepared for those who love Him. He designed it for us to enjoy.
Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” The complete reality of that life will be ours to enjoy in that day, dearly beloved. It is eternal life. Rejoice!
