The Conflict of the Ages
Dearly beloved of God, the only one that can settle the conflict of the ages between God and the devil is the Lord Jesus Christ.
God sent His Son to destroy the works of the devil, and he will! God anointed Jesus with the holy spirit and with power. When he was on earth the first time he went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with him.
They crucified him, but God raised him out from among all the dead people.
Forty days later he ascended into heaven, and God seated him at His right side far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. God put all things under his feet, and gave him the head over all things to the Church, which is his body, the fulness of him that fills all in all.
So far we see Jesus crowned with glory and honor, who was briefly made lower than the angels for the suffering of death so that he, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. He has accomplished that phase of our redemption and salvation.
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to those who look for him he shall appear the second time, not to bear our sin, but to save those who are waiting for him.
On the Day of Redemption he will return to gather together the Church up to meet him in the air; both the dead in Christ and those of us who are yet alive. We were sealed with the holy spirit of promise to this end.
The Church will obtain the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ! The gathering together of the Church will conclude the Administration of the Grace of God.
The next administration will be the Lord’s Day. During this period of time the Lord Jesus Christ will come to the earth and reign as King of kings and Lord of lords, and take back the dominion that Adam forfeited to the devil.
The Lord Jesus Christ will subdue all enemies until they are all under his feet. He will put down all rule and all authority and power. He will reign until he has fulfilled every last jot and tittle of God’s will.
The Lord will end the conflict between God and the devil; the devil will be cast into the lake of fire, and he will be a terror no more forever and ever.
At the great white throne judgment he will raise all the dead and separate out the just from the unjust. The just will be resurrected unto life, and the unjust will be resurrected, judged, and condemned to the second death. They will be cast into the lake of fire, die the second death, and be destroyed.
The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the only one that is capable of ending this conflict, and he will! When he has subdued all things, he himself will also be subject unto God that put all things under him, so that God may be all in all.
God will then make all things new again in new heavens and the new earth.
Until Christ returns for us, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his ability. Put on the whole armor of God so you are able to stand against the strategies of the devil, because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the present darkness, against wicked spirits in the heavenly realm.
Wherefore take up the full armor of God, so that you are able to resist those things in the day of the wicked, and when you have accomplished everything, to stand at the bema.
Dearly beloved, we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us and gave himself for us.
He justified us and he will glorify us. Nothing will ever separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory! Rejoice!
