Election Integrity
Dearly beloved of God, many are paying close attention to the integrity of our presidential election. If a secular election is so consequential, one would think that our election in Christ would be of even greater concern to us.
The presidential election will determine the future of our constitutional republic; not an insignificant matter. We are the elect of God, and our election by Him determines both our present and future eternal realities in Christ Jesus our Lord, which is of even greater significance.
If the presidential election was questionable, our vote was disenfranchised, and our rights as citizens were usurped. If our election of God is questionable, our standing before God, our sonship rights, and our future inheritance would be in jeopardy.
Which election do you think is more consequential, dearly beloved?
The presidential election turns on our vote; the election of God turns on the resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ out from among the dead. Our salvation depends on his resurrection from the dead.
All the dead people who ever died are still dead and corrupting in the grave - except Jesus - God raised His Son from the dead, and he is now alive forevermore. He is the only one to be resurrected to life so far. Our election, sonship, and victory over sin and death depends on Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead.
The dead in Christ will be raised by him when he returns to gather us up to meet him in the air. Rejoice, dearly beloved, and live with thanksgiving for His great grace to us in Christ.
Thank God that our calling and election is sure. God chose us in Christ, and He determined beforehand for us to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover, those that He called, those He also justified, and those whom He justified, them He also glorified.
In fact, God our Father will freely give us all things with His Son; all things in the new birth, and all of our inheritance in Christ as joint heirs with him.
Who will bring legal charges against God’s elect? God, the Justifier? No! There is no more condemnation to those who are in Christ. We are beloved and highly favored in His sight.
Who can condemn God’s elect? Christ? No, he is the one that died, and rather who was raised from the dead, who is also at the right side of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Nothing now nor in the future can separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The purpose of God by election will stand, not due to our works but of Him Who calls us, and He determined our election to be by His grace.
Anyone, Judean or Gentile, who confesses Jesus as Lord and believes that God raised him from the dead will be saved!
God now considers believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to be “in Christ,” and members of his body, the Church. He fills everyone in Christ with everything that he accomplished, even every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm. Such grace! We are completely filled in Christ!
Dearly beloved, thanks to our election in Christ we will obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. Because of our election in Christ it will take our Father the ages to come to display the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ, the rapture, obtaining the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, glorious new bodies like Christ’s glorious body, eternal life, ascension to our true home as citizens of heaven, living in the household of God forever, new heavens and a new earth, no more sickness or death or crying or pain; only glory, and fullness of joy forever and ever, all because of God’s election!
Our light affliction, which is but for a moment due to earthly elections, works for us a far more exceeding heavy weight of glory; keep your eyes on the upward calling of God in Christ Jesus, dearly beloved; he is coming.
Make no mistake about it; elections are important, dearly beloved, especially the one that will bring us eternal glory. It will never be called in question; it is sure and certain!
