When You Pray Remember
Dearly beloved of God, never forget; God our Father is for us, not against us. We are never alone, and our Father will never forsake us. We are His dearly beloved children, and we are highly favored in His sight. As He was with his Son Jesus Christ, so He is with us.
Our Father’s ears are open to our prayers; in fact, He says that He delights in them. We ought to etch what He says into our hearts and minds, and remember to whom we are praying. God our Father is able and willing to perform His Word; He is the One True and Living God, and we are His children.
Israel did not always hold the same perspective that God held of them.
“But Zion said, ‘The LORD has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me.’ Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” Isaiah 49:14-16
Look at the emphasis God expresses concerning His compassion and watchful care for them. He says that He will not forget them; He tattooed Israel on the tenderness of His palms, and the walls of Jerusalem were always before Him. He did not forget them. (These verses are couched in the revelation concerning their Messiah.)
God’s Word reveals His Will. It is not hidden from us; read what He addresses to us in the Church epistles.
God, the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ is God our Father, dearly beloved.
Every name that God previously revealed to His people depicted Who He was, and all of them are inherent in “God our Father;” remember that when you pray to Him.
He hears our prayers; His ears are open to our cries; He says so. He is God our Father, dearly beloved.
"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer…." I Peter 3:12
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him." 1 John 5: 14 and 15
Dearly beloved, we know His will, and we know that God our Father is faithful to His children.
His will is to completely equip us with His Word and His spirit.
His will is that we know and acknowledge His Word by believing it. His will is that we believe who we are in Christ, and that we live with the keen awareness of our glorious hope in Christ.
His will is to lead and guide us; to direct our paths by His spirit. His will is that we have the peace of God in our hearts. His will is that we lead a quiet and peaceable life with all godliness and dignity.
His will is that we prosper and are in health. His will is that we are cheerful givers, knowing He is able to make all grace abound toward us so that we always have all sufficiency in everything, so we may abound unto every good work. His will is that we walk with Him, dearly beloved.
Remember to Whom we pray, and how willing and able He is to deliver us.
God our Father is for us, and He will never leave us, or ever forsake us. We are His dearly beloved children, and He says that we are highly favored in the Beloved, Christ Jesus; believe it!
