Called and Named
Dearly beloved of God, we are to walk worthy of the calling to which we were called.
God called us by the word of truth, the gospel of our salvation. After we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ we were sealed with that holy spirit of promise for the inheritance as God’s heirs. Christ will return to acquire those whom he purchased with his life and gather us up to him.
God called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus. God’s purpose in Christ was to save us.
God is the God of peace, and He called us in Christ to peace in one body. We should let the peace of God rule in our hearts, to the which we are called in one body, and we should be thankful.
Dearly beloved, we ought to walk worthy of God, who called us to His kingdom and glory. God Himself called us to His kingdom and glory.
God called us to the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ to share in all he accomplished.
Those whom God called, them He also justified, and whom He justified them He also glorified. Beloved, God has called us in one hope of our calling, to acquire the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dear ones, behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called [called meaning named] the sons of God; and we are!
Now we are the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when the Lord Jesus Christ shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. God has named us “the sons of God.”
Dearly beloved of God, we ought to walk worthy of the calling to which we were called with all humility and meekness, with longsuffering, upholding one another in love, putting forth a diligent effort to guard the unity that is from the spirit in the uniting bond of peace. Why?
There is one body, and one spirit, even as we were also called in one hope of our calling. There is one Lord, one believing, on baptism. There is one God and Father of all, Who is over all and through all and in all.
Dearly beloved, grace was given to each of us according to the measure of the gift of Christ. What do we have that we did not receive by the grace of God Who called us in Christ Jesus?
Thank God that He called us in Christ unto His kingdom and glory. Who other than Him would have thought to call us to acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ?
By His divine power God has given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him that called us to glory and virtue.
God called us in Christ, and He named us "the sons of God." Thank God that He called us, and He named us the sons of God.
Rejoice and live with thanksgiving in your heart for His great love, grace, and mercy towards us in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Walk worthy of the calling to which we were called, dearly beloved; It is Christ in you, the hope of glory, and the glory is coming! Rejoice; it could be today!
