The Father’s Grace and Glory
Dearly beloved of God, God called us to His kingdom and glory. We were all dead in sin, and we came short of the glory of God, but because of Jesus Christ’s accomplishments we can now rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Who could have ever imagined the grace that God has shown us in Christ?
We entered the kingdom of God when we were born again of the spirit from God. We will physically enter the kingdom when God sends His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to gather us up to meet him in the air.
In Romans 8, we learn that God determined beforehand (from the time of Genesis 3:15) that all who believed in Jesus Christ would be conformed to the image of God’s Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover, those whom He determined these things beforehand, them He called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.
What shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? The list may be long, but it does not matter! God is for us!
God, that spared not His own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Are you kidding me? Jesus Christ laid down his life to save us. By the stripes they laid on his back we were healed. He did all the work to accomplish our redemption and salvation; we didn’t do anything.
By the grace of God, God accounted Jesus' accomplishments to each member of those who believe in him.
Every member of the body of Christ, the Church, has all of them in all of us. WOW! God our Father freely gives us all things with His Son!
When Christ returns to gather us up to meet him in the air, we will be glorified together with him. We will gain acquisition of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord Jesus Christ will transform our mortal, corruptible bodies so that they are fashioned like his glorious body that dies no more.
The wisdom of God concerning the mystery was ordained unto our glory. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory!
I Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”
Dearly beloved, God has revealed this wisdom to us. He has given us the revelation knowledge of His Word so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. What began in grace will end in glory for all those in Christ.
II Corinthians 3:18
But we all with open face [unveiled face] beholding as in a glass [a mirror] the glory of the Lord, are changed [transfigured] into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit of the Lord.
We will be transfigured from the glory of the new birth, into the glory of the inheritance at his coming.
God called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus. Our light affliction, which is only momentary, works for us an eternal, exceedingly heavy weight of glory!
When we are caught up to meet the Lord in the air, so shall we ever be with the Lord.
We will obtain eternal life, and glorious bodies like Christ’s that die no more, and in the coming ages, the exceeding riches of God’s grace to us in Christ Jesus will be shown to us in loving kindness by our heavenly Father.
Faith comes by hearing, by hearing the Word of God. The right way of believing is to have trust and confidence in the information God reveals concerning current realities.
Hope is believing concerning things that have not come to pass as yet. It concerns future realities. Hope is the confident expectation that God will perform that which He has promised. It shall be as He has spoken.
Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the confession of the hope without wavering; for He is faithful that promised.
Thank God for His great grace to us in Christ, and for the riches of His glory which He has reserved in heaven for His dearly beloved, and highly favored children.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. It shall be as He has spoken!
