Dearly Beloved 1/31/17 "What Is Going On?"

What Is Going On?

Dearly beloved, there are two gods: the accuser of God’s people and the righteous judge.

The One True God is the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. He is the Just Judge. Even though man is exposed as guilty before God by the law, his conscience, and accused to be guilty by Satan, it was His idea, plan, purpose, and will to provide the sinner with a plea in Christ.

Dearly Beloved 1/30/17 "Perfection Is In the Lord"

Perfection Is In the Lord

The Lord Jesus made peace between God and us, dearly beloved.

God determined the standard by which He would do this. He determined that Jesus Christ was delivered over to death for our trespasses and he was raised again because of our justification.

Dearly Beloved 1/29/17 "How Do You See It?"

How Do You See It?

Dearly beloved, there are always two ways to look at things; either from a spiritual perspective, or from a carnal, worldly outlook.

II Corinthians 4:16-18 says, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Dearly Beloved 1/27/17 "Changed"

Changed!

Dearly beloved, by His wonderful grace God made us complete in Christ.

We are saved because Christ did the work that made it possible. We are righteous before God in Christ. We are holy and without blame before our Father in Christ. We are sanctified by the spirit that Christ made available. We will be glorified like Christ when he returns for us.

Dearly Beloved 1/26/17 "The Work of God"

The Work of God

Dearly beloved of God, the book of Romans concerns the gospel of God concerning the Son of God, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus Christ met all the criteria of the One that was to come; his genealogy can be traced as a human being to David, and the proof that he was God's Son was that He raised him from the dead! That's a validation that speaks for itself. Hundreds of people saw him after he was resurrected out from among the state of death.

Dearly Beloved 1/24/17 "What is Reasonable?"

What is Reasonable?

Dearly beloved, sin and death no longer reign over us! Isaiah 53:12 says, “He was numbered with the transgressors: and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

That’s why in Luke 22:37, he said, “For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in Me, and He was reckoned among the transgressors:’ for the things concerning me have an end (a fulfillment).”

Dearly Beloved 1/23/17 "The Goodness of God"

The Goodness of God

Dearly beloved, the riches of the goodness of God lead us to a change of heart. That's quite a lesson to learn.

When He restored the heavens and the earth everything He did for man was "very good". He gave man the truth while the adversary gave him the lie, and told him that he would be like God. He said that evil could improve on His goodness. After man bought into the serpent's lie has been nothing but vanity.

Heart Realities

Dearly beloved, you know your heart better than anyone else. When you hide God/s Word there, it does not make any difference what anyone else thinks about you.

You are who God says you are beloved, not what someone else may say.

What’s in Your Mouth?

Dearly beloved, God’s Word is a living, powerful word. It can minister to a broken heart and heal it. It can change the course of a life. It can give eternal life to those who hear it. God’s Word can do what no other can.

When we speak God’s words in the worship manifestations they minister to the heart edification, comfort, and exhortation. They strike needs that only God knows exist. They have the power to heal.

Dearly Beloved 01/18/17 "Reformation"

Reformation

Dearly beloved, if you are excited about God's great grace to us and what his Son accomplished for us and is in us, why don't we start another Reformation just like Martin Luther or William Tyndall did.

When they saw what God did for them in Christ it started a fire that burns to this day. They taught God's Word and made it known so that others could understand it.

Love Letters

Dearly beloved, what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For you are our glory and joy. What a love letter!

This was the heart behind the Apostle Paul’s service and it should be in our hearts as well. We speak the gospel of God concerning Christ so that others can share in the same glory and joy.

Dearly Beloved 1/11/17 "Free Indeed"

Free Indeed

Dearly beloved of God, how do we reconcile the transformation that took place in the life of a man like Paul?

He changed from being “exceedingly mad” against the saints, to “affectionately desirous” of their fellowship; from “casting a vote against” men like Stephen, delivering them to death, to “striving together with” them; from “breathing out threatenings and slaughter” against the body of Christ, to “holding forth the Word of life,” so men could be a part of it; from “putting to death” the saints to “bringing to life and immortality to light”; from “punished them oft” to “gentle as a nurse” among them; from making havoc of the Church to “imparting peace” to them; from “compelling them to blaspheme” to “speaking the same thing” they spoke; from “committing them to prison” to “presenting every man perfect in Christ”; from “blasphemer, persecutor, injuror,” he changed to the end he “preached the faith he once destroyed“.

Such Great Grace

Dearly Beloved 1/7/17 "You Must Ask Yourself, Why?"

You Must Ask Yourself, “Why?”

Dearly beloved of God, Jesus Christ became one with us as a human being so that we could become one with him as members of his body. He became as we were so that we could be as he is.

From God’s point of view, when Jesus Christ died, we died with him. When he was buried, we were buried with him. When God raised him from the dead, He raised us with him. When he sat down at the right hand of God, we sat down with him. When he comes for the members of his body, the Church, we will be glorified with him. This is our union with Christ.

Dearly Beloved 1/6/17 "Genesis and Man: part 2of 3"

Genesis and Man: Part Two of Series of Three

Genesis 2:4 begins a new subject, “These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth . . .” This change in subjects indicates where chapter 2 should begin.

Remember, there were not any chapter divisions in the Hebrew originals. Chapter divisions are man-made additions to the text and they were arbitrarily inserted by the editors of the Bible to help us find references. They are not of any help when it comes to interpretation.

Dearly Beloved 1/6/17 "Genesis and Man: part 1 of 3"

Genesis and Man: Part One of Series of Three

Dearly beloved, the Word of God introduces man into the narrative of Genesis in a truly unique way. It does not mention his physical body or the life of his flesh; He waits until chapter two to discuss them when he expands on the events mentioned in chapter one. Here He speaks of the unique element that distinguished man from every other living creature.

Part Two: Life

Genesis 1:20-23 AV
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

The Truth Concerning Spiritual Matters

Do we wake up one morning to flashing lights and hear a voice that says, “Voomba, voomba . . . this is truth”? Why of course not! To learn we must have a reference for truth outside of ourselves. This is true regardless of our field of study.

Truth and Power

Beloved of the Lord, what did the Lord Jesus use as his authority for truth concerning spiritual matters?

Matthew records a time when the Sadducees tried to set a trap for the Lord by quoting Deuteronomy 25:5, and then raising a hypothetical question regarding the resurrection of the dead (a belief they strongly denied). When the Sadducees attacked him, the Lord responded with one single authority.
