By His Stripes You Were Healed
Dearly beloved of God, Jesus Christ accomplished the will of God. Isaiah foretold what he would accomplish hundreds of years before he was born.
Isaiah 53:3-5
3 He [Jesus Christ] is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows [pains], and acquainted with grief [sickness]: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he [Jesus Christ] hath borne our griefs [sicknesses], and carried our sorrows [pains]: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted.
5 But, he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Jesus Christ fulfilled these scriptures as the Savior. He endured some forty hours of horrific torture and brutal beatings and whippings with a cat of nine tails, so that we might be healed.
Matthew 8:16 and 17
16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, “Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”
Jesus Christ fulfilled the Word and Will of God. He took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
I Peter 2:24
Who his own self [Jesus Christ] bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.
Did the Lord pay for our sins? Yes, he did, and likewise, he paid for our healing. We were healed by his stripes. If we were forgiven, then we were healed. If the one is true, so is the other. God validated Jesus Christ’s accomplishments by raising him from the dead!
Acts 10:32
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost [holy spirit] and with power: Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.
When the Lord Jesus Christ was on earth he demonstrated the will of God by healing people who were oppressed by the devil. Sickness is oppression. It does not come from God.
God’s people had access to Jesus Christ when he was on earth. He always did his Father’s Will. Do we have less access to God today than they had then?
Ephesians 2:18
For through Him [Jesus Christ] we both have access by one spirit unto the Father.
We have access by the new birth spirit unto God as our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord. We have even greater access than they had when Jesus was on earth. How does our Father want us to approach Him?
Ephesians 3:12
In Whom [Jesus Christ] we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.
Our Father wants us to approach Him having boldness and to utilize our access with confidence by the right way of believing concerning Jesus Christ. Healing is available to us, so ask the Father for it in the name of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
The throne room of grace is open to us. Take advantage of it, and boldly go to the Father. There is only grace and mercy towards those who love Him.
I John 5:14, 15
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
That is the Word and Will of God. If you need healing, dearly beloved of God, go to your Father and ask for it in the name of Jesus Christ.
The LORD forgives all our iniquities and He heals all of our sicknesses. Sickness is never God’s will for us. We have God's Word on it, and His Word cannot be broken. God does not respect one person any more than any other. He respects those that believe His Word. Take Him at His Word and expect Him to fulfill it.
II Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him [Jesus Christ] are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
There are no incurable diseases with God. Whatever God says is possible, is possible. Nothing is too hard for Him. He created the heavens and the earth, and He raised Jesus Christ from the dead! This is Who says, “I am the LORD that heals you.”
The All-Powerful God is God our Father, and He will not withhold anything good from us. He is faithful that promised. Go to Him for the deliverance you need, dearly beloved of God.
