Time to Get Dressed

Dearly beloved, be strong in the Lord and the strength of his ability. We must put on the whole armor of God so that we are able to stand against the strategies of the devil because we are not wrestling with flesh and blood but against the spirits of wickedness in the heavenly realm.

The illustration of putting on the armor of God all deals with words with which we are to clothe ourselves; to believe them.
We are instructed to gird ourselves with the truth, the truth of God’s Word.

We are to clothe ourselves with who we are in Christ; the righteousness of God.

We are to have our feet prepared so that we can run with the gospel of peace.

We are to take up the shield of believing as God instructs us as to the measure of what we are to believe. By doing so we will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the wicked one.

We are to protect our heads with the knowledge that God saves and delivers, and we are to take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Our Father instructs us to always pray with every prayer and specific request in the spirit and stay on watch concerning prayer with all perseverance for all the saints.

This is how we wrestle in this match up with the devil and his wicked spirits.

Our Father has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm in Christ.

God seated Christ in this realm at His right hand far above every spiritual ruler, authority, power, and lordship forever.

He has seated us in the heavenly realm in Christ. We are seated in this realm in rest, completeness in Christ, and authority. We are members of the body of Christ, the church, and he fills us with all in all of us.

This realm is where the church makes known the variegated wisdom of God known to these spiritual beings concerning the purpose of the ages that He purposed in the Christ.

The heavenly realm is where we wrestle with these spiritual forces and workers of evil and the only way we can successfully wrestle is by being strong in the Lord and in the strength of his ability. Read the first three chapters of Ephesians if you want to see what the Father wrought in Christ and who we are in him.

He wants us to know the exceeding greatness of His power, the power He demonstrated when He raised the Christ from the dead and seated him far above every other power in the heavenly realm. By the same exceeding great power He seated us there in Christ by the working of His mighty power.

Rise up and walk in what you have received. Believe God’s Word concerning who you are in Christ. Put on the whole armor of God and stand against the evil one and for one another in Christ. Our Father gave us these words for our believing and deliverance, dearly beloved.

Take up the whole armor of God and resist in the day of evil, and having done all, we will stand before him at the bema in victory.
