The Power of God

Dearly beloved, the gospel of God concerning Christ is the power of God unto salvation. This joyful message from God reveals the righteousness of God to us so that we may believe it.

God wants us to know the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe, the power that He energized in Christ when He raised him from the dead and seated him at His right hand in the heavenly realm.

By this same power, God made us alive together with Christ, He raised us up with Christ, and seated us together in the heavenly realm in Christ. We are complete in Christ, filled to the full with everything he made available by his accomplishments.

Our Father is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us today.
The Lord Jesus told his disciples that not many days from then they would be baptized with the spirit instead of water, and when they received the gift of holy spirit they were endued with power from on high. The book of Acts is the divine history of this power in manifestation in the lives of these believers.

The gift of holy spirit was poured out to the twelve apostles, then the people of Israel that confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him from the dead received the same gift of holy spirit. Later on, at Cornelius’ house, the Gentiles who believed received the same power from on high. Peter told the elders at Jerusalem that, “God gave them the like gift as He did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ….”

When we confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him from the dead we were saved. We received the gift of holy spirit the same as they did. It is the spirit that makes us children of God. The seed of His seed is born within us. Beloved, the spirit of God dwells in us; the spirit from Him that raised Jesus out from among the dead people dwells in us.

The spirit contains inherent power. Not only so, but our Father has given us the authority to manifest it for our profit. The gift of holy spirit not only is the power of God unto salvation, it enables us to do the works that Jesus did and even greater because he has gone to the Father to make it available.

The spirit we received when we were born again enables us; it enables us to manifest the power of God in our lives. It enables us to worship God in spirit and truth and to pray in the spirit, to edify the church when they are gathered, to receive revelation knowledge and the wisdom to apply it, to discern spirits, to perform the gifts of healings, to do miracles, and to believe to bring the impossible to pass according to the revelation made known to us. I would say that is quite profitable, wouldn’t you?

God told Joshua that He would be with him as He had been with Moses. He had the spirit of God upon him as Moses had.

Beloved, we have that spirit born within us today! We have the spirit from God that raised Jesus from the dead dwelling in us; we are God’s dwelling place, His habitation.

As Moses and Joshua faced their challenges with the power of God, so the power of God is present in us today to enable us to overcome. From the world’s perspective, they overcame insurmountable obstacles by the power of God. What is too hard for Him?

We received the power of God, power from on high, when we were born again. That power makes us more than conquerors; it is the power that causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus. We must operate it by believing the same as they did.

We have the power to worship God truly by the spirit. We have the power to edify and comfort the church. We have the power to receive revelation knowledge and the wisdom to apply it and the ability to discern between spirits. We have the power to believe to bring the impossible to pass according to the revelation we receive, to perform the gifts of healings, and to do miracles!

Yes, we received power from on high as a gift, dearly beloved. We live and serve in the newness of the spirit.

Face your challenges with the power of God as those who went before us did. God says that it is available. Walk with the power of God in manifestation in your life. He is able and willing to work in us to will and to do of His good pleasure; what is too hard for Him?

We have both the power and the authority to utilize it, dearly beloved, and we received it all by the grace of God due to God’s love for us. Live abundantly by the power of God today.
