He Who Began a Good Work in You
Dearly beloved of God, you can be confident that He Who began a good work in you will continue to perform it until the day of Christ Jesus, which is the day that he will return to gather us up together to meet him in the air.
God saved us by Jesus Christ and his accomplishments, and by His wonderful grace toward us in Christ.
God judged us in Christ as righteous, as holy and without blame before Him. Jesus Christ justified us by his blood, and in him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace, which He abounded to us.
Much more, being justified now by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through him. If we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son when we were His enemies, then much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved from the wrath of God by his life.
In Christ, we have the justification of life. There is no more condemnation coming to those in Christ Jesus. We will never again come unto condemnation.
After we heard the word of the truth, the gospel of our salvation, having believed in the Christ, we were sealed with the holy spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the acquisition, unto the praise of His glory.
We are born again, born of the spirit from God. Now we are the children of God, His heirs, and joint heirs with Christ.
Rejoice, and thank God for His great grace to us in Christ. In Christ, and by the new birth reality we have all there is to receive until he returns for his Church on the Day of Redemption.
The Lord Jesus Christ will return to gather together the members of the Church, which is his body. The Word of God refers to this as the Day of Christ Jesus.
I Thessalonians 4:15-18 describes what will occur when the Lord Jesus Christ, the head of the Church, returns for the members of his body. We have the Word of the Lord concerning it.
The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a summoning shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who remain alive will be snatched up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we always be with the Lord.
At his coming the Lord Jesus Christ will transform our vile bodies that are mortal, and corruptible so that they are fashioned like his glorious body according to the working whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself. We will be glorified with Christ Jesus as joint heirs!
The coming of Christ for the Church is our glorious hope, and we are exhorted to live in light of his coming for us. We are to eagerly anticipate his coming because we were called by the gospel of the grace of God to acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ [II Thessalonians 2:14]. This is the hope of His calling of which Ephesians 1:18, and 4:4 speaks.
The things we suffer today are not comparable with the glory that is to be revealed to us when Christ Jesus the Lord gathers us up to meet him in the air. When Christ comes for us we will receive a far more exceeding and eternal heavy weight of glory.
That day will be the Day of Redemption for the Church of the Grace of God. That will be the day we obtain the hope of salvation. It will be the day we receive eternal life. It will be the day of deliverance and rest from the afflictions and tribulations of this evil age. It will be the day that we have fullness of joy, and glory forevermore.
It will take the coming ages for God our Father to display the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
The Day of Christ is the day that we will physically enter the kingdom of God, the day we will return with the Lord Jesus Christ into the heavenly realm as the citizens of heaven, fellowcitizens with the saints, and members of God’s household.
Christ’s coming for the Church will be the concluding event of the Administration of the Grace of God.
Dearly beloved of God, may the God of the hope fill you with all joy and peace in the right way of believing so that you may abound in the hope through the power from the Holy Spirit.
Do not be troubled by the things of this world; live with peace and joy and thanksgiving in your heart, dearly beloved. Set your affection on things above, not on the things of this evil age. Live with the love of God in manifestation.
It is Christ in you, the hope of glory! Be confident that He Who began a good work in you - the new birth - will continue to perform it until the Day of Christ Jesus.
