Confidence in Him
Dearly beloved of God, time and time again God our Father exhorts us to pray. He exhorts us to come to Him in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Christ Jesus has given us access to the Father by the spirit we received in the new birth. Since we have the access to Him we can approach Him with confidence.
I John 5:14 and 15
And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us: And if we know that He hear us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
Do we have confidence in Him? If we do we will go to Him. There is nothing to obstruct our access to Him.
James 5:16 b
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
I Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Ephesians 6:18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
Why would God our Father instruct us to do something that many consider to be worthless? He would not. Either God’s perspective is worthless, or theirs is. We can take God at His Word. Pray.
Philippians 4: 6
6 Be careful [anxious] for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
The Lord is at hand, so go to God our Father in the name of Jesus Christ. He is a fountain of living waters. His resources are an unlimited supply. We can trust His supply much more than we can trust anyone else for deliverance. God is our Helper.
Dearly beloved of God, we can be helpers together by prayer for one another. We may not be present, or we may not have the resources needed to help one another, but God does. He is the Almighty God. He is almighty in resources to supply, to support, and to defend us, and we have His Word that He is willing to do so.
From the scriptures we have read it does not sound as though we have to beg God for His help. He is the One that constantly assures us that He is able and willing to help us. He is the One that exhorts us to approach His throne of grace to receive His timely help.
Our Benefactor is Almighty God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. What is too hard for Him? This God is God our Father!
God our Father has the power to part the seas, and supply food in the wilderness for forty years for over two and a half million people. He can move the sun backwards as He did for Hezekiah, or make it stand still as He did in the day of battle. He can heal what no other can. He can deliver a nation or an individual. He has the power to save, to heal, to provide, and to deliver us regardless of circumstances. He is our Helper, and He is willing to help us. He has not changed.
Our part is to ask for His help. His part is to provide it.
God our Father made us great and precious promises, and He gave us the privilege of access to His throne of grace. We have every right to ask these things of Him.
Our Father exhorts us to come boldly and speak freely with Him having confidence because of Jesus Christ, and his accomplishments for us. Jesus Christ made a new and living way through the veil into the presence of God for us.
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry. The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The prayer of the upright is His delight. He hears the prayer of the righteous; He says so!
God is our Father, and we are born again of the spirit from Him. We are His kids. Go to Him having confidence in Him. He is faithful that promised.
