You Bet! And How! No Question About It!
Dearly beloved of God, God determined ahead of time that we would have sonship as God’s children by Jesus Christ according to the good pleasure of His Will, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved, Jesus Christ.
You will never be rejected by God; in Christ you are accepted by Him. In fact, you are highly favored by God your Father in Christ Jesus. You are now a beloved child of God, and a member of His household.
We are born again of the spirit from God. God sent His Son to accomplish our redemption and salvation, and to make the promise of the Father available to us in the new birth.
If a person does not have the spirit from God, he is none of His, but since Christ is in you, the old nature is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of God’s justness.
The spirit of Him that raised up Christ from the dead now dwells in you! That gift of holy spirit is the basis of our sonship. We are born again of the spirit from God.
We did not receive a spirit of bondage again to fear; we received the spirit of sonship, by which we cry, “Abba, Father.” The spirit itself bears witness to our inner being that we are the children of God, and if children heirs, heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ.
We have the proof of our sonship, and of our inheritance every time we choose to manifest it. God’s spirit witnesses to our spirit that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to compare with the glory which shall be revealed to us.
This light affliction is but for a moment, but it works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Beloved, we will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ when he returns on the day of redemption.
Accepted? I should say so! Highly favored? You bet we are! Dearly beloved? There is no question about it!
We are no longer dead in trespasses and sins; we are born again of the spirit from God, and we are sealed by that spirit for the day of redemption, and eternal life.
In Christ Jesus our Lord, and by his accomplishments we have the victory over sin and death, and the hope of salvation.
If in this life only we have hope in Christ we are of all men most to be pitied, but that is not the case!
Christ is risen from the dead and become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. As in Adam all die, so in Christ all shall be made alive. Christ was the first fruit, and they that are Christ’s will rise to life at his coming.
When Christ returns to save us, the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we which alive, and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Comfort one another with these words. Highly favored? And how!
That’s just the beginning of the glory we will acquire in the coming ages, dearly beloved of God. When the Lord comes for us he will transform these mortal, corruptible bodies to be like his glorious body that dies no more. We will not only be with him, we will be like him for we shall see him as he is.
Do not let any news today get you down, we have the good news of the ages to come! It will take the coming ages for God our Father to show us the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. That is far from being rejected, wouldn’t you agree? We are most definitely highly favored in His sight!
God our Father is the One Who gave us the hope of receiving the glory of God. It was His idea. It was the good pleasure of His Will according to the purpose of Him Who works all things after the counsel of His own will.
God our Father is the One that called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus our Lord.
He called us unto His kingdom and glory. He called us by the gospel concerning Jesus Christ to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Who other than the God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is God our Father, could have ever conceived such grace and mercy and glory?
Accepted? You bet! Highly favored? And how! Dearly beloved? What do you think? If you can read, there is no question about it!
God put His Will in writing so that we do not forget His goodness to us in Christ Jesus our Lord beginning with the new birth, and continuing with the unending glory of the ages to come. Rejoice!
