A Change of Policy
Dearly beloved of God, the Church epistles reveal a new policy that God instituted due to Jesus Christ’s accomplishments.
Ephesians 3 informs us of the glorious divine revelation which God revealed to the apostle Paul about the administration of the grace of God. This revelation was not made known in other ages, but God has now revealed it. In previous times this information had been a mystery hid in God, but God has now made known this mystery concerning the administration of the grace of God.
At the time God delivered Israel from the captivity of Egypt, He made a covenant with them that He would be their God, and they would be His people, and He gave Moses the divine revelation of the Law for Israel. The other nations were not included in this covenant.
God sent Jesus Christ to Israel, and Jesus said that he came to fulfill the law and the prophets.
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
The Law was in force during his earthly ministry until he fulfilled it. He was the end of Law for righteousness, that is, for God’s justness.
The justice, or righteousness of God, was previously administered by the standard of the Law given to Israel, but after Christ fulfilled it God issued a new standard for justice for everyone, which was by believing regarding the Lord Jesus Christ, and that God raised him from the dead.
Due to Christ’s accomplishments God revealed the administration of the grace of God. Not only Israel but EVERYONE that believes regarding the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved during this administration of God's justice.
Romans 10:9-13
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Israel anticipated the Day of the Lord with the coming of their Messiah. Instead of judgment, God showed all people, whether Judean or Gentile, His grace, and thus began the administration of the grace of God, which previously had been a mystery hid in God.
Ephesians 3:6
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His [the] promise in Christ by the gospel:
The Gentiles are joint-heirs with the Judeans, they are of the same body, and they are joint-partakers of the promise in Christ.
God formed a new group of saved ones called the Church, which is the body of Christ, which is made up of Judeans and Gentiles that believed regarding the Lord Jesus Christ.
Everyone in the administration of the grace of God is saved in Christ by the grace of God. We are saved by Jesus Christ’s work, not by ours [Ephesians 2:8,9].
Everyone in this administration of God’s grace is “justified by his (Jesus Christ’s) blood” [Romans 3:22-24; 5:9, 15-21; 8:30, 33, 34].
Everyone in this administration of God’s grace has the “justification of life” [Romans 5:18].
Everyone in this administration of the grace of God is reconciled to God by Christ, is saved from the wrath of God by his life, and has received the atonement [Romans 5:9-11].
Everyone in this administration of the grace of God, has been judged in Christ as righteous [Romans 5:21; II Corinthians 5:21], and there is no more condemnation to those in Christ [Romans 8:1]; not now, not ever! We will never come unto condemnation.
Everyone in this administration of the grace of God, in Christ, is holy and without blame before God. Everyone in Christ is accepted by the Father in the Beloved, Jesus Christ [Ephesians 1:4, 6].
Everyone in Christ is a child of God, an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ in this administration of the grace of God [Romans 8:15-18]
Everyone in the administration of the grace of God that believes regarding Christ has received the promised holy spirit [Romans 5:5; 8:9,10,14-16], and is sealed for the day of redemption [Ephesians 1:13,14, and 4:30].
Everyone in Christ, in the administration of the grace of God, now has the hope of salvation [I Thessalonians 4:15-18; I Corinthians 15:51-54].
Everyone in Christ, in the administration of the grace of God, has been saved, delivered from the wrath of God [Romans 5:9; I Thessalonians 1:10, 5:9].
Everyone in the administration of the grace of God was called by the gospel to acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ [II Thessalonians 2:14]. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory [Colossians 1:27].
Rejoice dearly beloved of God! Thank God for the grace He has shown us in Christ Jesus our Lord! God's new policy is quite a policy, is it not?!
