The Truth About Reality

Dearly beloved, “if in this life only we are having hope in Christ, we are more to be pitied than all men,” but that is not the reality. Christ accomplished the mission that God sent him to accomplish, and to validate his accomplishment God raised him from the dead.

Jesus Christ is the only man to die and to be raised to eternal life. He is the firstborn from the dead among many brethren that will rise, also. He is the first fruit of the harvest that lies ahead.

Now the victor over sin and death sits at the right hand of God: “Far above every ruler and authority and power and lordship, even above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the coming age. God put all things in subjection under his feet and made him head over all things in the Church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all things in all people.”

God, his Father, gave Christ Jesus this vast power by the exceeding greatness of His power that He manifested when He raised him from the dead.

He also committed all judgment unto His Son, and He has given him the authority to execute it. Every grave will come forth at his command, and he has the authority from His Father to judge whether they will come forth to life or they will be destroyed.

Indeed, Christ Jesus is the Lord of lords, and the King of kings, the head of the body of those he has saved, and in due time he will accomplish all that God has willed, purposed, desired, and planned. He will accomplish the purpose of the ages that His Father purposed in him. This is the true reality.

Face today with sober eyes, dearly beloved; eyes that are enlightened by God’s Word. Since you confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him from the dead, you are saved and have the hope of eternal life. Whatever we may face today pales in comparison to the truth of this reality.

Faint not, dearly beloved, every word of His promise shall be kept. “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” We have the victory over sin and death through the work of the Lord Jesus Christ; this is our reality.

He did rise from the dead and God did put all things under His feet. He will subdue all things, there is no question about it; it is the truth; it is our reality. Christ was the first fruits of them that sleep and in due time they that are Christ’s will be made alive at his coming. This is the truth about reality.

Dearly beloved of the Lord, we will be glorified together with Christ when he comes; we will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the true reality; it isn’t a figment of our imagination; it is real and true. The truth of God’s Word will be fulfilled.

“He that raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.” Stay based in reality, dearly beloved. He is coming; that is our reality!
