Oh, What a Life

Dearly beloved, you live; yet not you, but Christ lives in you: and the life which you now live in the flesh you live by the believing of the Son of God, who loved you, and gave himself for you! It is now Christ in you, the hope of glory!

The first man, Adam, became a living soul; the last Adam, Jesus Christ, became a life-giving spirit. As humans we all partake of the soul life that Adam passed on to us as his progeny. As Christians we all partake of the spirit-life of Christ in you.

We are no longer just humans with a soul life existence; since Christ lives in us, we have spirit life because the spirit now dwells in us. We have the spirit from Him that raised Jesus from the dead now dwelling in us; we have spirit-life in these mortal bodies. That spirit not only gives us life today, it will give us everlasting life when Christ Jesus our Lord returns!

Beloved, we have a choice: we can continue to walk as natural human beings who live by their wits, or we can walk as those who received the gift of holy spirit and who walk in that reality; filled to the full in Christ, complete in him. It is available.

We received the spirit of sonship when we confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him from the dead; we were saved, and like Christ, we are the sons of God. Now we can walk in that reality.

He will lead and guide us by the indwelling spirit that lives in us.

“Now the Lord is that spirit; and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. This is why you are more than a conqueror; it is through him that loves us. That is why God always causes you to triumph in Christ. This is why you can do the works he did and greater works. This is why you are an able minister of the new covenant. Beloved, you are as he is! You are free!

Christ lives in you by the indwelling spirit, dearly beloved. Since you live in the spirit, let us also walk in that reality; that is what truly makes us free. You are free from the devil’s authority over you and his oppression, free from sin’s dominion over you, free from death and destruction: you are free, dearly beloved, free indeed.

God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind; walk in that reality today. Walk in the good pleasure of His will, in the great grace that is yours in Christ.

He gave you the riches of His glory so that you are strengthened with might by his spirit in the inner man; walk in His power that works in you! Walk by believing, not by what you see. You can do all things through Christ which strengthens you, dearly beloved. He gave us all things that pertain unto life and godliness; walk in His bounty!

Your adversary knows who you are in Christ; be as confident about it as he is. He will roar to try to paralyze you with fear. Stand firm and resist him by believing who you are in Christ and he will flee. You are a Christ-in one; he has no rights over you.

Christ was made a life-giving spirit in you; and that spirit will lead and guide you, empower you, and it is the power that will deliver you.

You live; yet not you, but Christ lives in you: and the life which you now live in the flesh you live by the believing of the Son of God, who loved you, and gave himself for you! Oh, what a life we have, dearly beloved.
