What’s in the Box?

Dearly beloved, we should never put our God in a box and limit Him by our limited understanding.

God created the heavens and the earth, He parted the sea, led the children of Israel under a cloud for 40 years, fed them with manna from heaven, and gave them water out of the rock. He made the sun stand still in battle until His enemies were utterly defeated. He brought down the walls of Jericho.

Time and time again, He exceeded human expectations in impossible situations. He provided childless Abraham a son when he was about 100 years old. He made him a father of many nations in the face of his inadequacy because He believed what God said to him.

He provided Israel with a Messiah by Divine conception. He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son for them and provided eternal life to any who believes in him. He promised to give His people the holy spirit, which His Son first poured out on the Feast of Pentecost. He promised to deliver us, even from the grave. He has the power of resurrection.

How could we possibly limit the Unlimited One in our lives? As He has spoken, so it shall be. His Word is true and faithful. He is the All Powerful One; what is too hard for Him? He is not only able, He is willing to perform it for anyone who believes Him. He can far exceed His Word, but He can do no less. The Lord Jesus said that His Word cannot be broken.

There was a troubling time in Israel’s history. Listen to what He had His prophet Jeremiah tell them.

“For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.” Jeremiah 2:13

Their God is today our Father. He is our unlimited source of supply. We dare never limit Him and we dare never change or replace His Word with man-made ideas that have no power in them. He calls that way of thinking evil.

Dearly beloved, our Father is the One Living and True God. There is none like Him. He reveals the end from the beginning. He lets none of His promises fall to the ground. He is the God that becomes what we need for our salvation and deliverance. He is the Almighty God; there is none like Him.

Take Him at His Word today. Fear not. Do not limit Him and do not allow anyone to put words in His mouth. “For with God nothing shall be possible.” No word of God is impossible of fulfillment, dearly beloved.

He is true and faithful, and He cannot do less than His Word. Our God is unlimited in His resources and power to bring His Word to pass; do not put Him in a box.

Walk in His deliverance today; expect it because it is yours to receive. Those who put their trust in Him will not be disappointed in their expectations.
