Don’t Be Confused

Dearly beloved, our hope is in Christ, to be received up with him in glory. He will gather us up together in the clouds to meet him in the air, and from that point on we will be with the Lord.

Will Christ Jesus come as a thief in the night to gather us unto him? No, his coming will be announced: he will descend from heaven with an assembling shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. He will give the summons for every member of the body of Christ to assemble to meet him in the air, both those who have died and those who are yet alive.

He will transform our mortal, death doomed bodies to be fashioned like his glorious body by the working whereby he is able to subdue all things to himself.

Not only will we be with him, we will be like him, dearly beloved; he is the firstborn among many brethren. We will be glorified together with him at his coming.

Remember, the sufferings of this present time are not comparable with the glory that is to be revealed to us. We are joint-heirs with Christ and the Father will freely give us all things with him. Thank God for His exceeding great grace to us! Rejoice dearly beloved!

Because we confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him from the dead, we have been appointed to salvation. God set the terms for salvation, we believed Him and He sealed us with the promised holy spirit, which is the down payment of our salvation. The result is that we will be saved from the coming wrath; the wrath of God will be poured out on the earth after we are gathered together unto our Lord Jesus Christ in the air.

The period of time after we are gathered together to meet the Lord in the air is the Day of the Lord. The Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night upon the ungodly; unannounced. When they say, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come upon them like birth pangs to a pregnant woman, and they will not escape it.

The Day of the Lord includes the times of the Gentiles, the great tribulation, the wrath of the beast, and the wrath of God against his followers. , Christ will come to the earth as the King and Lord over all, and he will reign on the earth for 1000 years. Many other things will occur in the Lord's Day.

These times will come after Christ's coming for the church, which is his body. There are no signs and seasons that signal us of the gathering together of the Church in the air. The signs and seasons will not occur until after we are gathered together unto Christ in the air.

God’s purpose in choosing us for salvation by the sanctification of the spirit and belief of the truth is so that we will acquire the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God called us to salvation dearly beloved; not wrath, not judgment with the ungodly, not condemnation, not destruction.

There is no more condemnation coming to them who are in Christ Jesus; we have been judged in Christ as the righteousness of God. He gave us the victory over sin and death, beloved. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory!

“It is evidence of the just judgment of God for you to be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer, since it is just with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you and to you who are afflicted along with us to repay rest at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his messengers of power. With flaming fire, he will give vengeance against those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel regarding our Lord Jesus. They will be sentenced to eternal destruction from the face of the lord and from the glory of his prevailing ability after he comes to be glorified in his holy [sanctified] ones and to be admired in that day by all those who have believed (for our witness to you was believed). For that reason, we also pray for you always that our God will consider you worthy of the calling and with power will fulfill every good pleasure of goodness and work of believing, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you and you may be glorified in him according to the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.” II Thessalonians 1: 5-12 Working Translation, Rev. Walter Cummins

Oh, dearly beloved, rejoice and again I say rejoice. Set your affection on things above, not on the things of this evil world.

Your life is hid with Christ. Your hope is of glory. Your end is everlasting life. Comfort yourselves together with these words.

These fleeting days of trouble today will be superseded by unending days of life, of magnificent glory, and fullness of joy when Christ comes to gather us together.

You truly are His dearly beloved, and it will take Him the ages to come to demonstrate the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness to us in Christ Jesus. Don't be confused, rejoice forevermore dearly beloved of the Lord!!
