The Plain Truth

Dearly beloved, perhaps you know someone that blames God for the death of a loved one. They say, “Why would a loving God do this to them?” They are emotionally blinded by their loss and they do not know the truth that God reveals to us in His Word. Who is responsible for their loss?

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He [Jesus Christ] also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.” Hebrews 2:14

The Word of God reveals that the devil has the power of death. He is labeled “the thief”, in John 10:10, and he comes, “…but for to steal, kill and destroy.” I John 3, reveals that God sent Jesus Christ to, “destroy the works of the devil.”

Jesus Christ said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” God sent him to destroy the devil that had the power of death. He will. Death is the last enemy that will be destroyed.

When people do not understand spiritual matters that are clearly revealed in the scriptures of truth, they become acclimatized to the evil in this kingdom and they become disillusioned. Being ignorant of spiritual realities they blame the One True God for the works of the devil.

Look at the book of Job, and read Job 1:9 – 2:7. Satan, which is another name for the devil, said that God, “made an hedge about Job, and about his house, and about all that he had on every side.” He “blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.”

Then Satan, the accuser, tempted God to hurt him. Listen to God’s response to Satan.

“And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand.”

Who had the authority to hurt Job, steal what was his and ruin his business, kill the people that worked for him and killed his children? As you continue reading, you will see that Satan exerted his power and stole his possessions, killed his servants, brought a devastating fire upon his sheep and the shepherds tending them and consumed them; the Chaldeans stole his camels and killed the herdsmen, killed his kids with a great wind when the house collapsed on them.

These calamities happened one after the other under the direction of Satan in order to crush Job.

Who was behind all this evil done to Job, his family, and his business? Satan was behind all of it, not the One True God.

Again in 2:6 and 7, we learn from the record that Satan had the authority to do these things; he then, “…smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.”

We read in 42:10, that God turned Job’s captivity and blessed him with twice as much as he had before.

When Satan tempted Jesus Christ in the wilderness, Luke 4:6 reveals that he said: “All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.”

Who has this power? Satan does. Read Genesis 3 and you will find that he deceived Eve and talked Adam out of the dominion that God had given them. He is called the serpent in this record. Revelation 12 says the old serpent is the devil and Satan who deceives the whole world.

God is not the one behind the acts we are reading about; the devil, Satan is behind them.

God sent His only begotten Son to save us from death, to forgive our sins, to enable us to have life more abundantly. When you read the four gospel records you see him always doing the will of His Father.

He taught God’s Word, healed the sick, cast out devil spirits, raised the dead; he always did His Father’s will – he never killed anyone or made anyone sick to humble them.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the holy spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

God further reveals that the Lord Jesus Christ has delivered us from the power of darkness, and He has transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son. We have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins, and when Christ returns to gather us unto him in the air the transfer will be complete.

He will deliver us from death if it has overtaken us, and he will transfigure these bodies of humiliation to be like his glorious body. Beloved, he will restore all that our adversary has stolen from us and the Father will freely give us all things with him, forever and ever.

Today we live in this evil world, but God made us more than conquerors in Christ Jesus our Lord. He empowered us with his spirit and enabled us to manifest it for godly profit. We are no longer defenseless victims. We may be attacked, but we have the victory in Christ Jesus our Lord! Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his exerted strength for us, dearly beloved.

God has given us exceeding great and precious promises and by these we became partakers of His divine nature. By His divine power, He has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness by these promises.

Dearly beloved, may the trial of our believing today be found unto praise, glory, and honor at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

We wrestle with evil spirits from on high today. It may look as if we are wrestling with people, but we are not. We are not wrestling with political parties, foreign governments, terrorists, religious factions, globalists; we are wrestling with evil spirits in the heavenly realm. We are in a spiritual fight and our wrestling is with Satan and his evil spirits. This is the plain truth; never forget it.

Dearly beloved, give your all in the contest that deserves your all.

Witness, teach God’s Word, shepherd, pray, minister by the power of the holy spirit; live the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation, and walk in the power of God. Walk with and for the One True and Living God.
