A New Standard for Justice
Dearly beloved of God, very few Christians know anything about what is their’s in Christ except that he saved them, and many are even uncertain about that because of devilish teachings that teach that you may have backslid out of salvation.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
This is God’s standard for salvation today.
Jesus Christ came to fulfill all righteousness. Righteousness is the Greek word “dikaisune.” It means justice, justness, or righteousness.
When it comes to the gospel of God concerning Jesus Christ, the standard for justice is according to the standard that God determined. Previously for Israel the standard for justice was the law.
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
God sent His Son to fulfill the law for justice. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law, and was the end of it. After he fulfilled it, God established a new standard for justice.
Romans 3:19-22
19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law [Israel], that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified [dikaioo: to make just, justify, to make righteous according to God’s established standard] in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness [justice] of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,
22 Even the righteousness [dikaiosune: justice, justness, or righteousness according to an established standard], which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all that believe: for there is no difference.
God’s standard for justice is by the believing of Jesus Christ. He believed to fulfill the law, and he was the end of it for God’s justice.
Romans 3:23-26
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness [justice] for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness [justice]: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Every Christian should be taught this revelation from Romans. This is the gospel of God concerning Jesus Christ. God justified us freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Jesus hung on the tree to justify us from sin and the condemnation of death.
As Jesus hung on the tree he said, “My God, my God, for this purpose I was spared.” His last words were, “It is finished.” He finished, he accomplished God’s purpose. He justified us from sin. Christ our Passover lamb was sacrificed for us.
I Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
When did Jesus Christ pay for our sins and for our healing? When he hung on the tree.
Romans 6:23
The wages of sin is death, but God’s free gift of grace is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Jesus paid for the wages of sin when he hung on the tree.
Dearly beloved of God, the justice of God was fulfilled, it was accomplished by the believing of Jesus Christ.
In Christ, and by his accomplishments we are saved, reconciled to God, justified, and glorified. We are born again of the spirit from God. It is incorruptible seed: you cannot backslide out of it; it is spirit seed. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory!
Dearly beloved of God, we receive the justice of God by hearing the gospel of God concerning Jesus Christ and believing it, not by the works of the law. We are saved by the grace of God toward us by believing in Jesus Christ our Lord.
The gospel of God concerning Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes it. As it is written, "The just shall live by faith." Rejoice!
