Newness of Life
Dearly beloved of God, Jesus Christ came so that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. After his death, resurrection from the dead, ascension into heaven, and seating at God’s right hand, he sent the promise of the Father which was new spirit life.
Jesus Christ foretold of this spirit life in John 3. He said that which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. He said you must be born again if you are to see, and enter the kingdom of God.
The natural birth is flesh, and the life of the flesh is soul life. It is mortal, and it is corruptible. The life we receive when we are born again is spirit life, and it is incorruptible seed.
The spirit was not given until Jesus Christ was glorified. The gift of holy spirit was given on the Feast of Pentecost following Jesus’ resurrection and ascension and seating in the heavenlies. It was manifested by speaking in tongues, the wonderful works of God.
All who confess Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead will be saved. They are born again of incorruptible seed, the new birth spirit.
The spirit of life in Christ Jesus made us free from death dealing sin. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory!
Those who are in the flesh cannot please God, but you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, since the spirit from God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the spirit, that is to say Christ, he is none of His, but since Christ is in you, the old nature is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of God’s justness. Rejoice!
The spirit of the Living God now dwells in us by the new birth. This birth gives us life; spirit life, eternal life. God is now our Father and we are begotten of His spirit. We received the spirit of sonship whereby we cry, “Abba, Father.”
God even provided us with proof that we are born again. The spirit from God witnesses to our spirit that we are the children of God, His heirs, and joint heirs with Christ. The proof is by speaking in tongues.
We entered the kingdom of God by being born again of the spirit from God, and when God sends the Lord Jesus Christ to gather us up to meet him in the air we will physically enter the kingdom of God with glorious new bodies like Christ’s glorious body that dies no more. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then we also will appear with him in glory.
Rejoice, dearly beloved of God, you received newness of life in the new birth. This life is not subject to death, and it is incorruptible seed. It is eternal life.
In Christ Jesus every member of the body of Christ has access by one spirit unto the Father. What are you waiting for? Go to Him, dearly beloved, go to Him.
We are now citizens of heaven. We are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. We have access to God as our Father by the spirit.
God our Father freely gives us all things with His beloved Son.
He saved us, redeemed us, reconciled us, justified us, forgave us by the riches of His grace which He abounded to us. He sanctified us. He made us the righteousness of God. He blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing. We are complete in Christ, filled with all in all. We are sealed with the holy spirit of promise, which is a down payment of our coming inheritance.
God our Father provided all of this, and much more, in Christ. All of it is ours by the exceeding riches of God’s grace to us in Christ Jesus, not by the works of the flesh.
Every child of God has the same spirit of sonship, the same rights and privileges and ability in the new birth, and the same hope of glory.
Since we have received the complete new birth reality, dearly beloved, walk in that reality. As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk in him. Walk in the newness of life of the new birth.
