Born Again to a Living Hope
Dearly beloved of God, our redemption draws nearer day by day. The day of redemption is nearer today than when we first believed in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We were born again with a view to a living hope. We are sealed by the spirit from God for the day of redemption. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
I Peter 1:3-9
3 Blessed be [is] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively [living] hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept [protected] by the power of God through faith [believing] unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations [you are grieved by many kinds of temptations]:
7 That the trial of your faith [believing], being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory [you are very glad with inexpressible and glorious joy]:
9 Receiving the end [outcome] of your faith [believing], even the salvation of your souls.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then we also will appear with him in glory. We will obtain the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ!
We are joint heirs of the inheritance with Christ. Have you ever had a joint bank account? Both parties of the joint account have
complete access to it. We are heirs together with Christ of the inheritance.
By believing we are protected by the power of God unto a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. Be confident that he who began a good work in you will continue to perform it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Everyone who has this hope in Christ purifies himself even as he is pure. Rejoice!
Some say that they know when Christ Jesus the Lord will return. What did Jesus Christ say about the timing?
Mark 13:32
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
No man knows when God will send the Lord Jesus Christ to save us; not even the Son of God himself knows when His Father will send him, but we do know that He will send him. We have the Word of the Lord on it.
I Thessalonians 4:15-18
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent [precede] them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Rejoice, dearly beloved of God! This is only the opening event of the ages to come. Why did God save us by His grace to us in Christ? Why did He make us alive together with Christ, raise us up together with him, and cause us to sit together in the heavenly realm in Christ Jesus?
Ephesians 2:7 WT
So that in the coming ages He might display the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
We were born again with a view to a living hope, dearly beloved of God, to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance reserved in heaven for you. We will absolutely receive the outcome of our believing, which is the salvation of our souls. Rejoice, with inexpressible and glorious joy!
