Incorruptible Seed
Dearly beloved of God, Jesus Christ foretold of being born again, born of the spirit from God. He said we must be born again of the spirit if we are to see and enter the kingdom of God.
I Peter 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
The natural birth is corruptible. It ends in death and corruption. The new birth of the spirit is of incorruptible seed. This seed cannot be spoiled. It cannot go bad. It cannot decay; it is incorruptible.
This birth is by the work of God in Christ. We cannot screw it up, or sin it away. It is a birth, and it is by seed that is incorruptible. We received it by confessing Jesus as Lord and believing that God raised him from the dead. Then, by the grace of God He saved us, and we were born again of the spirit from Him.
Every born again one is complete in Christ Jesus. We are not complete because of our works or our walks, we are complete in Christ Jesus. We are completely filled with everything he accomplished for us. It is all in all of us.
Christ is the head of Church, which is his body the fulness of him, that fills all in all. He fills all the members of his body with all that he accomplished. In this body Christ it is all and in all. No one has any less than any other member, and no member has any more than any other member of this body. God does not respect one member above any other member.
It does not matter whether one is a male or a female, whether one is a Jew or a Gentile, whether one is bond or free, Christ is all, and in all. It is all in all, dearly beloved. Even if you think you are the lowliest member of the body you still have all in all, and all that is under Christ’s feet is under the members of his body.
God blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm. It is all in all of us. Each of us is saved, reconciled to God, and redeemed. We are justified and forgiven our sins by the riches of His grace, which He abounded to us. We are righteous, holy and without blame before our Father. We are His dearly beloved, and highly favored children in Christ. We are members of God’s household. We have access to the Father by the spirit. We are children of God, His heirs, and joint heirs with Christ, and we will glorified with him. We will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are sealed for the day of redemption. These are a few of the all spiritual blessings that are ours in Christ by the grace of God because we are born of incorruptible seed.
The former manner of life is corrupt according to deceitful lusts, but the life we have in Christ Jesus our Lord is incorruptible. There is nothing we can do or not do that will spoil it, or bring it into a worse state. We are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus.
It is Christ in you, the hope of glory. God our Father, according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for us, who are kept by the power of God through believing unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
When Christ returns, the dead in Christ will be raised incorruptible. Death inherits corruption, but we will inherit incorruption when Christ returns to gather us up to meet him in the air. The corruptible will put on incorruption, and we will die no more. Death will be swallowed up in victory. Thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Whether we are awake spiritually in our walks, or we are asleep at the switch, we will live together with Christ when he returns to save us. Such grace!
We are born again of incorruptible seed, and it is quite a birth. Such grace! Thank God for His unspeakable gift!
