Did You Hear the News?
Dearly beloved of God, the war drums are beating again. There will be wars and rumors of wars until the Lord’s Day. Fear not!
The adversary uses the media to wield fear propaganda as a sword against God’s people. They use it to profit on people’s unbelief. If you have turned on the TV, been on the internet, listened to the radio, read a newspaper, or magazine I am sure that you have heard the bad news today, but there is good news!
The Almighty God, the One True and Living God has revealed the good news of His Word! God’s Word is the truth; not lies. His Word builds believing, trust, and confidence in God, not fears, doubts, and worries which issue in unbelief.
When we believe God at His Word we are standing in the presence of the Living God, and we can overcome the things that make us afraid by His mighty power.
Fear not dearly beloved, we are the children of Living God, and He has our backs. If we seek the LORD, He will hear us, and deliver us from the things that make us afraid.
We do not have to fear the latest new disease; we were healed by the stripes laid on Jesus Christ. Believe what God says, and be at peace.
We do not have to fear the crumbling economy, or the crippled supply chain; God is our sufficiency in all things all the time. He is willing to give you His wisdom so you can prosper. We have not, because we ask not; so ask Him for the answers you need. Look to Him, not the world.
We do not need to be afraid of climate change; we will not be here when the real climate problems occur, and islands disappear, mountains fall, and there is a great earthquake like the world has never seen. We will not be on here when the wrath of God is poured out on the earth.
We do not have to be afraid of anything because our God is with us and He is for us. He is willing to lead us, and guide us through the darkest of times, even if we walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
The eyes of the LORD are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto our prayers. The LORD is our helper; do not be afraid of what man threatens to do to us. Cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you. What good news!
Dearly beloved, our God is present with us. He will never leave us or forsake us, so do not be afraid. He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. Gird up the loins of your mind! We should be confident in our God, not afraid because of worldly situations.
We don't have to have anxiety about anything; but in everything by making specific requests in prayer to our Father with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to Him, and the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
This is the CONFIDENCE that we have in God our Father that if we ask according to His Will He hears us, and we know that we have the petitions we desire of Him.
Practice the presence of God in your life, not the presence of the adversary. The adversary will always be evil. God our Father is Light, and there is no darkness in Him; NONE.
We may live in this evil world, dearly beloved, but we are not of it. As long as we are here on this earth God will restrain the adversary from doing his worst. The man of sin cannot rise up to declare that he is god, and the great tribulation cannot not begin until after Christ has come to gather us up to meet him in the air, and we acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we are at rest in our true home in the heavenly realm.
Dearly beloved, who will you listen to today? What will you fill your mind with today; the fake news from the father of lies, or the Word of Truth from the One True and Living God Who is our Father? Who will you believe today?
Christ's return is nearer than when we first believed, dearly beloved, it could even be today. Press toward the finish line for the prize of the upward calling of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. He IS coming!
Until then, practice the presence of God in your life, pray without ceasing, and walk by believing God at His Word.
Dearly beloved, there is good news today! Believe it, and be at peace in your heart. Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are more than conquerors in him, not victims.
