You Can Rely on Him
Dearly beloved of God, those who search the scriptures know that God’s trustworthiness and faithfulness are indisputable. His Word is faithful, and He does not change. What He has done for one, He is willing to do for any and all.
It does not matter which subject we consider; God is trustworthy and faithful in all of them from salvation to glorification, from healing to prosperity, from prayer to deliverance. We can be certain that we can rely on God’s trustworthiness and faithfulness.
Proverbs 3:5 and 6
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding, In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths.
God is able and willing to direct our paths; the question is, are we willing to trust Him with all our heart? God our Father is reliable so we can rely on Him.
God proclaims that if we confess Jesus as Lord, and believe that He raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved. He reveals that He has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is faithful that promised, dearly beloved. We can be confident that we will be saved, and we will acquire the Lord Jesus Christ if we have confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him from the dead. We can rely on God our Father.
I John 5:14
And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He hears us.
If God was not trustworthy it would be hard to have confidence in Him, but He is! We can be confident that He hears us, dearly beloved. “The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.” He is attentive to our cries for His help.
“The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.” He not only hears our cries, He delivers us out of ALL our afflictions; we have His Word on it. We can rely on Him, dearly beloved.
Through Christ we have access to the Father by the spirit we received when we were born again. Our Father exhorts us to use it with boldness and confidence, so go to Him. Take Him at His Word, dearly beloved; use your access with boldness and confidence, and pray until you receive the answer to your prayer. He is reliable.
Even though our times are uncertain, we need not lack. We can rely on our God to supply all our needs.
II Corinthians 9:7 and 8 WT
8 Let each give according as he chooses in the heart, not out of grief or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
9 God is able to make all favor [grace] abound unto you so that you, always having all adequacy in everything, may abound in every good work.
God leaves it up to us to decide in our heart what we will give, but whatever we decide to give He assures us that He will respond by making ALL favor [grace] abound to us, so that we ALWAYS have ALL adequacy in EVERYTHING may abound in every good work.
God says that we are highly favored in His sight, and here He says that He is able to make all grace abound to us. Stop and think about that, dearly beloved; how much grace is ALL GRACE?
God our Father is able and willing to make ALL OF HIS DIVINE FAVOR abound to us! That puts highly favored in His sight in a whole new light, doesn’t it? This is the good pleasure of His Will concerning His children, dearly beloved.
We cannot always rely on own resources and abilities, or on that of others, or on that of governments, or on worldly health institutions, or on financial organizations, but we can always rely on God our Father, and all of His grace to us. We can always rely on His reliability.
Our times are uncertain, but we can be confident in God our Father, and rely on Him whether we are concerned about Covid, supply shortages, inflation, financial insecurity, the rumors of wars, and the like. Fear not! Rely on God our Father; He is reliable.
Cast your cares upon God our Father because He cares for you. He is at hand, and He is willing to deliver you.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God, and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Believe God’s Word concerning us. Pray to Him having confidence in Him. Give as you choose in your heart and expect Him to show you all His grace.
Walk with Him by believing what He says, and expect Him to perform His Word. His grace is sufficient for us, dearly beloved.
God our Father is trustworthy and faithful, and we can always rely on His reliability, even in uncertain times. He is our delivering God.
