Prove Me Now
Dearly beloved of God, how can we say with confidence that God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, is the One True and Living God. How can we be sure?
He told priests that had been robbing Him of tithes and offerings in the days of Malachi to, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and PROVE ME now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts." Malachi 3:10 and 11
How were they to know if He was the LORD? They were to prove Him by believing what He said. They thought it was vain to serve God, and that it was unprofitable. Nothing could have been further from the truth.
Giving must have seemed stupid to them, but if they had factored God into the equation it would not have seemed so stupid.
God said He would open heaven’s windows to them, and that He would pour out so much blessing that they would not have room to receive it.
He said that He would rebuke the devourer for their sakes. The devourer is Satan. They should have factored God into the equation, and proved Him at His Word.
God said to prove Him to see if He was lying or telling them the truth by simply acting on His Word. He said, “Return unto ME, and I will return unto you”, says the LORD of hosts.
It must have sounded stupid when God told Israel to walk into the sea when they left Egypt. It must have sounded stupid when God said He would feed them with manna from heaven, or bring water out of the rock. We just need to remember that God is God, and He is capable of doing what He says.
If you want to know for certain that He is the Living and True God take Him at His Word, and prove Him. He is faithful; He is more than capable of holding up His end.
God gave the revelation, “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may PROVE what is that good, well-pleasing, and perfect Will of God.” Romans 12:2
We are to renew our minds so that we may prove His good, well-pleasing, and perfect Will. The next verse tells us we are to think soberly according to that which God has given us to believe. We are to believe who we are in Christ, and what he accomplished. Think that way and prove Him.
God our Father says, “In fact, you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord [Jesus Christ]. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and justice and truth), PROVING what is well-pleasing to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:8 and 9
Walk in the light as God’s children, and prove His Word.
He tells us to, “PROVE all things; hold fast that which is good.” I Thessalonians 5:21
We can hold anything up to the light of His Word to see if it is true, and then we are to hold to that which is good. God says to prove all things.
God our Father says, “I will never ever leave you and I shall never ever, ever forsake you, so that we are confident to say, ‘The LORD is my helper. I shall not be afraid. What will man do to me?’“
God our Father is the Almighty God, the One True and Living God, and He is for us, not against us. He is present with us; He is not far off. He will never ever leave us, nor ever, ever forsake us. He is our helper. He has given us access to Him by the gift of holy spirit. Go to Him in prayer and ask Him to perform His Word in your life.
Prove Him. You will not be disappointed in your expectation of Him.
Dearly beloved, these are His own words, not mine. He says to prove Him; He is up to the task. We have not, because we ask not.
The course of this world is under Satan’s authority, but God has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of His beloved Son. Believe it, dearly beloved, walk out on God’s Word, and prove Him. The One True and Living God, God our Father is for us.
God exhorts us to prove His Word. To prove His Word we must believe it. We walk with God by believing what He says.
God exhorts us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, to believe who we are in Christ, to pray fervently, to stand, to walk, to witness, to give, to love, to operate the nine manifestations of the spirit, to minister, to serve by means of the new birth spirit, to be rich in good works, and to anticipate the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Prove Him, dearly beloved.
If you want to know if He is really the One True and Living God, put His Word into practice; walk out on it, and prove Him, dearly beloved.
Be sure you factor Him into the equation whether it concerns giving, or thinking, or walking or doing the impossible; factor Him into the situation you are now facing.
He is the Almighty God, our delivering God. He is God our Father, and He is able and willing to perform His Word for those that believe Him. Prove Him now.
