That’s Slander!
Dearly beloved, have you ever been lied about, and slandered? Me too, but it doesn’t compare to the lies and slander spread about the One True and Living God, my Heavenly Father.
First, let me set the record straight; God is light and there is no darkness in Him at all. If we are to know what He is like we ought to hear it firsthand from His own mouth because you cannot separate Him from His Word. We should not believe slanderous lies about him.
By the way, who is behind the lies and slander against God? The Lord Jesus Christ said that the devil, “Was a murderer from the beginning, and he does not stand in truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
The word devil means “slanderer”. Who is the culprit behind the lies? The devil is the slanderer, and he slanders with his lies.
He is “the deceiver” that deceived Eve in the garden by his craftiness, the same one that works to corrupt our thinking processes from the integrity and purity that is in Christ, and who we are in him.
I wonder how many of us have heard lies such as: God is far off and unapproachable. He’s a tyrant. He can’t be pleased, and he is unforgiving. He controls everything. He possesses people and uses them as channels. He kills people to have more rose petals in heaven. The dead are alive today. When you die you either go to paradise or burn in hell forever. You must earn your way into His presence by good works. God judges you by your works for salvation or damnation. Jesus, the Son of God, is God His Father. God endows some who are in Christ with more than than He does others. When we are born again we do not all get the same spirit. He gives some of His children a better standing before Him than some other of His children. The manifestations of the spirit ended with the first century. You don’t need God’s Word today because we have the new bread of the spirit. Every single one of these statements are lies, slanderous lies.
I wish more people knew the truth about the One True and Living God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the same God that is our Father. He is NOT who the devil says He is; He is who He says He is, and He revealed His will to us in His Word.
He says:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.”
“God made him [Jesus Christ] who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
“Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
“In whom [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”
“In love, He determined beforehand for us to have sonship to Himself through Jesus Christ in accordance with the good pleasure of His will.” "Beloved, now are we the sons of God...."
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
"But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of His."
"But if the spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken [make alive] your mortal bodies by His spirit that dwells in you."
“Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm.”
“That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”
"Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."
We are, "joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
"For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede them which are asleep. For the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Comfort one another with these words."
“We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.”
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.”
“And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.”
“No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.”
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath toward us. God is love….”
The truth is nothing like the slander the devil spreads about God, is it, dearly beloved? Speak the truth in love and set the record straight for someone who has only heard the slander.
