Why?

Dearly beloved, the Scriptures reveal what our Father thinks about us. He tells us over and over again. We are His pearls of great price, those like the woman’s lost heirloom of silver, His good seed, those who are born of His spirit, His children, His heirs, and joint-heirs with Christ, His dearly beloved.

He called us to obtain the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. He called us when we were dead in sin, ungodly, and enemies of God. He sent His Son to save and redeem us. We are his purchased possession, which he purchased with his life.

Our Father poured out His love to us by giving us His holy spirit as a gift. He determined beforehand for us to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that he might be the firstborn among brethren. Now, in Christ, we are a kind of first fruits unto Him. Imagine that, beloved.

We are justified from sin and death by Jesus’ death and resurrection, forgiven by the riches of his grace, redeemed by his work, righteous in Christ’s righteousness, sanctified by his spirit, and he will transform us to have glorious spiritual bodies like his when he comes to save us; we will be glorified with the Lord Jesus Christ as members of his body! Our Father will freely give us all things with him, beloved!

“Why?” you may ask. There is no other reason than He loves us.

The question ought to be, “Why would we doubt it?” There is no other reason than our adversary wants to rob us of our joy. That lying, deceiving, accusing serpent orchestrates the course of this world to get us to conform to his way of thinking so he can keep us under his thumb. He does not want us to believe that we are sons of God with power, dearly beloved children of the Lord God Almighty, the Most High God, our Father.

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God (and we are)!” “Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he [the Lord Jesus Christ] shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.”

That is the truth! Change your way of thinking about yourself to God’s way of thinking about who you are in Christ. It will transform you. Walk in the love of God, renewing your mind to who you are in Christ, and manifesting it in your life. You are a child of His love.
