This Same Jesus
Dearly beloved of God, the same Jesus that died is the same Jesus that God raised out from among the dead, the same one that ascended into heaven, and sat down at God’s right side, and he is the same one that will return for us on the day of redemption.
Acts 1:11
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
The same Jesus that ascended into heaven is the same Jesus that will return.
Acts 2:36
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
God made that same Jesus that they crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Ephesians 4:9-10
(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
The same Jesus that descended into the grave is the same one that ascended far above all heavens. When he ascended on high, he accomplished God’s plan of redemption and salvation. He led captivity captive!
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday when he lived on the earth, as he is today living at the right hand of God in the heavenlies, and he will be the same forever.
Colossians 1:18
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Jesus Christ was the firstborn from the dead. God gave him preeminence in all things.
Romans 8:29
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
The Lord Jesus Christ was the firstborn from the dead. When he returns and gathers us up to meet him in the air we will be conformed to his image so that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
I Thessalonians 5:23 WT
And the very God of peace sanctify you entirely; and I pray God your entire spirit and soul and body be blamelessly preserved at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
All who confess Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead will be entirely preserved at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:20 and 21
For our conversation [citizenship] is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Our new spiritual bodies will be like our Lord’s.
We will no longer be mortal, and subject to death, or disease. Our new bodies will be fashioned like unto Christ’s glorious body.
Our minds will no longer be as frail as they are today. We will no longer be burdened with fear, worry, doubt, sorrow, pain, condemnation, or any such thing.
I John 3:2 and 3
Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is.
And every man that has this hope in him, purifies himself, even as he is pure.
We will be like the Lord Jesus Christ when he appears, dearly beloved. He is the same Jesus that died, arose, ascended, and sat down in the heavenlies, as we will be like him.
Everyone that has this hope in him, purifies himself, even as he is pure. Rejoice, and live today with this truth firmly fixed in your thinking. Come quickly Lord Jesus.
