Grace Upon Grace

Dearly beloved, since we have confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved.

We were justified freely by God’s grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Therefore, being justified by believing, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by believing into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

This is more than most people know and even fewer believe. This wonderful truth should cause us to drop to our knees before our Father and His wonderful Son our Lord in thanksgiving and humility. We never could have accomplished this by our own works.

Now God’s grace to us in Christ reigns through His justness unto eternal life. This is straight from the source who will bring it to pass through His wisdom and power.

God considers us to be born of His spirit, and if a person does not have His spirit, he is none of His; but having that spirit of sonship preserves us unto eternal life. God will send His Son to save and redeem both those in Christ who have died or if we are yet living when he will change us to be like him. We will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ when he comes for us.

This knowledge should be the catalyst in our lives that motivates us to live for Him; to do those things that please Him, and to live unto the praise of His glorious grace, to serve Him in newness of the spirit.

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God – and we are!

Therefore, the world knows us not, because it did not know him either. Beloved, now are we the sons of God and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

Dear ones, it is Christ in you, the hope of glory, and we will acquire that glory.

While we are living here, as we have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so let us walk in him and in all that he accomplished. Live as those that God called, He justified, and just as surely, He will glorify us together with Christ. Nothing will ever be able to separate us from His love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord; such exceeding great grace.

Our Father did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we are alive when he comes, or we have died, we should live together with him. Dearly beloved, comfort yourselves together and edify one another.

Walk in the love of God as you renew your mind to His Word and live it towards all men.

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake forgave you. Be followers of God as His dearly beloved children; imitate the Father’s love and walk in love as Christ walked; walk as children of light. Do all things for His glory.

Dearly beloved, walk in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, grow in your love toward one another, and hope to the end; he is coming.

What do have that we have not received? Who are we apart from His great grace? Now we are His dearly beloved and have received grace upon grace; walk in it dear ones.
