If Not Now…When?

Dearly beloved, since you are born of God’s spirit and you have entrance into the Kingdom of God, God is your Father, your Lord is Jesus Christ, and there are attending spirits sent forth to minister for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation: that’s you.

We have the nine manifestations of the gift of holy spirit that each of us receives the moment we are born again of God’s spirit: He gave them to us for our profit. He gave us the ability; it is up to us to operate it. We are enabled with power from on high, the power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us. Study the Word of God and learn how to operate the power born within you.

The Lord Jesus himself said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father.”

Who said it? The Lord Jesus the Christ said it. Who did he say it to? He was with his followers the night that one of them would betray him which would lead to his arrest, his two illegal trials, about forty hours of horrendous torture, physical and mental abuse, and his crucifixion.

About thirty some days later he told them that they would receive the promise of the Father which they heard from him, he said, “For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the holy spirit, not many days hence.”

He went on to say, “But you shall receive power, after that eh holy spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” He said this as he was taken up into heaven; you’d think we’d take heed to such important words.

Ten days later the twelve apostles received the baptism of the holy spirit and Peter explained what had just happened, and what it meant. Peter concluded by saying, “Repent [change your mind] and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you will receive the gift of the holy spirit.”

It is available to all as many as the Lord our God shall call. About 3,000 people believed what he said and received the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the holy spirit that day!

We don’t have any less than they had, dearly beloved; we ought to be as bold as they were. Read the book of Acts and see how God worked with His children - not just apostles, not just people with gift ministries – His children. Walk out and give such as you have!

God did not give us a lifestyle of cowardice; He gave us the spirit of power, love, and His Word so we can be sober minded.

God anointed Jesus with the holy spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him. He is with us too, dearly beloved.

We are enabled. Pray by speaking in tongues as God instructs us to do. Seek to edify, comfort and exhort when the body is assembled. Walk with all nine manifestations of the holy spirit and the profit they bring you and others.

Walk in the complete reality of the new birth. Don’t be deceived by the serpent that deceived Eve by his craftiness. Don’t allow him to corrupt your thinking processes from the integrity and purity that is in Christ.

If our thinking is not to be corrupted, then we must continue to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so we can prove the will of God in our lives. God has dealt the measure of what we are to believe from Romans to Thessalonians; believe it! Walk out on it.

Walk in the complete reality of what you received in the new birth.

Walk in love as Christ walked; he gave himself as an offering and sacrifice for us.

Walk in the light of God’s Word.

Walk accurately, not as fools, but as wise.

Walk in the complete reality of the new birth with its ability, rights, and privileges that are ours in Christ. My brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might; you’re going to need it. Put on the armor that God made available to you and fight the good fight of believing.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
