Dearly Beloved

At His Coming
Dearly beloved of God, we should realize that every living thing dies; plants, animals, and people. Death is the end of life. In the face of this stark reality, God provided the human race with the hope of being delivered from death.
Hebrews 2:14 and 15
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself [Jesus] likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Jesus Christ died in our stead so that he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil. He died for us. Those who believe in him no longer have to be in bondage to the fear of death.
Jesus died and God raised him out from among the dead. He is the only one to be raised from the dead, and to die no more. He is the only one that death no longer has the dominion over, but because of his resurrection from the dead we have the hope that we will also be delivered from the state of death.
I Corinthians 15:20-23
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept [have fallen asleep].
For since by man [Adam] came death, by man [Jesus Christ] came also the resurrection of the dead.
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward they that are Christ’s, [When?] at His coming.
We are even told in verse 50, “neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.” Corruption occurs at death. Death does not bring us into a better state, but into a worse state. Death is the end of life, not the entrance to life.
When will the dead in Christ be made alive? Verse 23 said, “…at his coming.” Is this corroborated by other scripture?
I Thessalonians 4:15-18
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent [precede] them which are asleep.
For the Lord Himself [Jesus Christ] shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump[et] of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive, and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Dearly beloved, this is the Word of the Lord. This is revelation knowledge. It is the Word of Truth. God revealed our hope in Christ. It needs no embellishing. It needs no modifying, or updating. It needs to be received with meekness as “the Word of the Lord,” and believed.
God has given us good hope through grace, and the Lord Jesus Christ will perform it at his coming. When God sends His Son to redeem us on the day of redemption we will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, and physically enter the kingdom of God. Rejoice, he is coming!
