Dearly Beloved

The Two Parts of the Lord’s Second Coming
Dearly beloved of God, the Lord Jesus Christ’s second coming has two parts: he will come to gather the Church together up to meet him in the air, and later he will come to the earth as King of kings and Lord of lords in the Day of the Lord.
When the Lord Jesus Christ comes to gather together the Church up to him in the air it will be the day of redemption. We will be redeemed from death or from this evil world, and saved from the wrath to come.
Sometime after the Church has been gathered together, the Lord Jesus Christ will come to the earth in the Lord’s Day, he will come with power and great glory. This will take place after the tribulation of those days according to Matthew 24.
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.” Matthew 24:29.
Read Matthew 24:27-31; Mark 13:24-27; and Luke 21:20-28.
According to Isaiah 13:6 and following: “…the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger. And it shall be as a chased roe, and as a sheep that no man takes up….”
When the earth is moved out of its orbit cataclysmic events will follow. In that day there will be real climate change, and nothing man can do will prevent it. Man will not be the cause of it, God and the Lord Jesus Christ will bring it to pass.
According to Revelation 16:20 and 21, “And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent [Various equivalent modern weights have been suggested in Bible dictionaries and lexicons for a talent ranging from around 60 pounds to over 100 pounds]….” These are only a few of the things that will take place in the Lord’s Day.
God will pour out His wrath on the world. The Lord Jesus Christ will come as King of kings, and Lord of lords to judge and make war.
The Lord and his army will make war with the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies. The Lord will take the beast and the false prophet and the people that received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image.
The beast and false prophet will be cast alive into the lake of fire. The remnant will be slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. Read Revelation 19.
It is not difficult to notice how different the Lord’s coming for the Church will be compared to his coming to the earth in the Day of the Lord.
I Thessalonians 4:15-18, and I Corinthians 15:51-57, give us the revelation concerning our hope in Christ.
Dearly beloved, it is Christ in you, the HOPE of GLORY! We were judged in Christ as the righteousness of God. We were justified by him and by his accomplishments. There is no more condemnation coming to those in Christ Jesus according to Romans 8:1. Read Romans 8:29-34.
God justified us in Christ; He does not condemn us.
Christ died for us, yea rather, he is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us; he does not condemn us. We will never again come into condemnation.
We are justified, and we will be glorified with Christ; that is why God called us! Read II Thessalonians 2:13-17.
The ungodly, those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ will be judged in the Lord’s Day after he shall have come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. Read II Thessalonians 1:7-10.
Fear not, dearly beloved; the Lord Jesus Christ will gather together the Church up to him in the air. The Day of the Lord will not take place until the departure of the Church from the earth, and then the man of sin will be revealed.
Which of these parts of the Lord Jesus Christ's second coming do you want to participate in, dearly beloved of God?
God called us by the gospel of God concerning Christ to the obtaining of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Read Romans 10:9 to be a part of the salvation and redemption that is available when Christ comes for the Church.
Thank God for His wonderful grace and mercy that He showed us in Christ. Rejoice! Christ is coming!
