What Guarantee Do You Have?
Dearly beloved of God, what guarantee do you have concerning the future? What promise can the world make concerning your wellbeing, long life, prosperity, healing, peace of mind, deliverance from the things that make you afraid, much less your salvation and eternal life? You cannot trust a thing the world says.
As the children of God we have sure and certain promises that God stands behind. He is both able and willing to perform His Word!
God told Israel that He had told them about the end from the beginning. He told them that He created the heavens and the earth; what is too hard for Him? He said that He brought to pass the former things He told them, and He will bring the new things that He told them to pass.
He said, “Be not afraid; for I am with you. Be not dismayed: for I am your God: I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.”
God said, “Fear not, I will help you. Fear not you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel, I will help you,” says the LORD your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” God had made a covenant with them to be their God, and for them to be His people.
Instead they made the decision to trust in their flesh and their senses, and the gods they made with their own hands that could not deliver them.
Dearly beloved, God made a new covenant with them, and by the grace of God He brought the Gentiles who confessed Jesus as Lord and believed that God raised him from the dead into the covenant with them.
Now that God is God our Father. He tells us to not be afraid for He is with us, and for us. He declares that He will never leave us or forsake us.
He has great and precious promises to us, that by these we can partake of the divine nature, be born of the spirit from Him, be His heirs, and joint heirs with Christ.
He has promised that we are healed by the stripes laid on Jesus Christ.
He has promised to prosper us as we give.
He says that He is at hand to deliver us. He tells us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known unto Him, and the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
He has promised us everlasting life, and He has given us the proof. He energizes His spirit within us to speak a divine language with Him according to His will. His spirit witnesses to our inner being that we are His children, His heirs, and joint heirs with Christ.
Be not afraid, dearly beloved; you are a child of the One True and Living God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He is the Most High God, the Almighty, and He will not let one word that He speaks fail. He is faithful that promised. There is no reason not to trust Him.
God our Father has also told us what lies before us. We know the end. Faint not. Trust Him and take Him at His Word. He is our strength, our Deliverer, our Comforter; He is God our Father. Fear not for He is with us and for us, dearly beloved.
He will not withhold anything that is good from us. He leads us with His goodness. He is much greater than our adversary the devil, so fear not. Look to God for the help you need.
When you factor the Living God into your situation. the outcome completely changes. He makes the difference between your success and your failure. With Him you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. He will enable you to overcome the world. His Word is His guarantee.
