Goliath or God?
Dearly beloved of God, yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, (Why?) for Thou art with me.
If we do not need to fear death, what in life do we have to fear?
The adversary instills fear; God our Father delivers.
There were times in David’s life that there was only a step between him and death, but God was in that step.
He could have been defeated by fear when he challenged Goliath, but he walked with the Living God who was bigger and stronger than his opponent, and He trusted Him.
Dearly beloved, seek the LORD, He will hear you, and deliver you from everything that makes you afraid. He is the LORD God Almighty and He is able and willing to help you. He is unlimited in resources; look to Him. Those who seek the LORD will not lack any good thing.
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to our prayers. When we cry, the LORD hears, and delivers us out of our troubles.
The LORD is near; practice the presence of God in your life. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers us out of them all.
Fear Not! Go to God your Father, and expect Him to deliver you; He is faithful that promised. He will not let one word of His promise fail. Take Him at His Word.
Don’t look at your Goliath; look at God your Father; He is the One True and Living God. He will never leave you, or ever forsake you; you are His dearly beloved child.
Our God says to call upon Him in the day of trouble; He will deliver you and then you will glorify Him. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. He is merciful, and full of loving kindness.
Blessed be he LORD, who daily loads us with benefits. He is the God of our salvation. He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belongs the means of escape from death. He gave us a good hope that does not fade away.
God our Father is continually with you; fear not. There are times that your flesh and heart may fail; but God is the strength of your heart, and your portion forever. He will take your right hand and guide you through your Red Sea.
God’s way is in the sanctuary; Who is so great a God as our God? Let us come boldly unto the throne of grace so that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. He is faithful, dearly beloved.
He sent His Son to die for us so that through death he might paralyze him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Since Jesus Christ himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those that are tempted. Fear not, for we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin.
God our Father loves us, and we have His help available to us today, and He has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace. Rejoice!
You are not alone; He is always near and He is willing to help you. You are His dearly beloved child, and highly favored in His sight.
Goliath looks like a giant until you compare him to God your Father; then he is nothing. Trust Him; He is the fountain of living waters, not a broken cistern that can't hold water. Look to Him; He is your Deliverer, and He will make a way for you where there seems to be no way. He is GOD our FATHER!
