Sufficiency in Uncertain Times
Dearly beloved of God, happy Memorial Day to you. Today we remember those who have given their lives so we can enjoy the freedoms we have as citizens of the United States of America.
At times it may look senses wise as though all is lost, but fear not, it is not! God is our Father, and He is our sufficiency in all things, all of the time.
We are the children of God, dearly beloved, we are born again of the spirit from God, and we have entered the kingdom of God. We are not only the children of God, we are heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ.
As frustrating as these times may be they do not compare to the glory that will be revealed to us when Christ returns to gather us up to him in the air.
We have the victory over sin and death through Christ Jesus our Lord. We reign with him now and forevermore, regardless of circumstances. Until he returns we will have to deal with the wickedness of the god of this evil age, but our Father has made us more than conquerors in Christ Jesus our Lord. Our God is for us, not against us, and He freely gives us all things with Christ.
We are not to focus on the evil, but on God our Father; He is the all powerful One. We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to His purpose.
When Jesus Christ was present with his disciples on earth he was their comforter, but since he has risen from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sat down at God’s right hand he has sent us another comforter, and it is in us, dearly beloved. You are a son of God filled with the spirit of Christ in you, and that spirit is power from on high; this is our comforter.
We have access to God our Father by the spirit, and He encourages us to freely use it with boldness and confidence. He has given us access to the throne of grace and He encourages us to boldly come unto it so that we may obtain mercy, and find grace for timely help when we need it.
We have the right to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. We can pray with our understanding, and we can pray by the spirit as we speak in tongues.
This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His Will, He hears us, and if we know that He hears us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him, so dearly beloved, take the time to pray.
Just as those who lived before us believed God for His deliverance in their lives, so we must believe what He says to us if we are to walk in His deliverance today. Our God has not changed.
Our times may be uncertain, but our God is greater than anything we may encounter, and He has our backs; He is our shield and buckler, and our rear guard. He will never leave us or forsake us; we are His dwelling place.
Fear not! Believe God at His Word, and walk in the freedom wherewith Christ has made us free!
Rejoice, and walk by the spirit with all the rights, privileges, and ability it provides us. We have the complete new birth package, and we are as he is! We are members of his body, filled with all in all of us. We are completely filled in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Never forget that God is our sufficiency in all things, all the time, and rejoice, we have it all, and more is coming.
