So Thankful
Dearly beloved of God, where would we have been had someone not spoken the Word of God to us?
I thank God for the person that had the love and boldness to tell me about God and His Word. I had attended church my entire life, but no one had opened the Word of God to me so that I could know the One True and Living God, and understand His Word. All I knew was religion.
God is Spirit; no one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, Jesus Christ who was in the bosom of the Father, (the one who was in His love and His will); he revealed Him, he made Him known.
How did Jesus Christ reveal God? He made Him known by his words and his works. Jesus Christ always did the will of His Father.
Without His Father, Jesus said that he could do nothing, but by listening to His Father and doing His will Jesus could do whatever he was instructed to do.
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the holy spirit and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Jesus Christ not only ministered deliverance to people during his life, he fulfilled the law and the prophets to accomplish God’s justness, and he accomplished what was required for salvation and redemption. He gave his life so that all who believe on him could be saved, and God raised him out from among the dead, validating his work.
Now anyone that confesses Jesus as Lord and believes that God raised him from the dead will be saved when he returns to gather us up unto him.
Where would we have been had someone not told us about him and what he accomplished? We would be dead in sin, without God and without hope. We would be under the reign of sin and death, and we would be children of wrath who blindly wander through the course of this evil age.
But, dearly beloved, someone did tell us about the gospel of God concerning Jesus Christ our Lord! They told us about the grace of God towards us in Christ Jesus.
Now we have the spirit of sonship, the spirit that makes us the children of God, and heirs, heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ.
Now we have an inheritance that is reserved for us in heaven that does not fade away. Now we have good hope through grace, the hope of eternal life, and glorious new bodies like Christ’s glorious body.
It will take the Father the coming ages to demonstrate the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
We have grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We are the objects of the Father’s divine favor, in fact we are highly favored in the beloved one, Jesus Christ our Lord.
How highly favored are we? God blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm. He freely gives us all things with His beloved Son.
God determined beforehand that we would be conformed us to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. We are as he is, dearly beloved. That is most certainly in the category of highly favored, would you not agree? Such great grace He has shown us in Christ!
Thank God for the exceeding great grace that He has shown us in Christ. He made us members of the body of Christ, the Church, and He filled all of us with all that Jesus Christ accomplished. We are completely filled in Christ Jesus. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
God our Father endowed each of us as His children with all in all of us. None of us are superior to another member of the body, nor is any one of us inferior to any other member. We are all fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of God’s promise in Christ by the gospel.
We will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. We will see new heavens and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness. We will see God make all things new again, dearly beloved.
All of this and so much more is ours because someone had the love and boldness to speak God’s Word to us.
Dearly beloved, speak God’s Word to someone in need; there are so many. God will work in you to will and to do of His good pleasure so you can do for others what was done for you.
