Pandemic: Fear Not

Dearly beloved of God, we can either believe or have fear. Both are believing, one produces positive results, and the other produces negative results. Believing is a law. We receive whatever we believe. Fear is our greatest enemy.

When we fear, we cannot believe God for deliverance.

Fear has ruined many a Christian’s life; it has ruined more lives than any pandemic.

God’s message to us is “Fear not.” God gave this message to Isaiah concerning God’s people.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Why are we not to be afraid? Fear not because God is with you.

Fear not because the One True and Living God is your God.

Fear not because God will strengthen you.

Fear not because God will help you.

Fear not because God will hold you up by his victorious right hand.

Dearly beloved, God’s Word to His people is “Fear not!”

In the face of this pandemic there is only one reason that we should not be afraid: God.

Our God is the Almighty God. He is infinite in His ability to help us, in His resources to deliver us, in His ability to supply our every need, and He is not only able, He is willing to deliver us.

This God is our God! If we believe Him we will not be afraid, nor overcome by the things that cause us to be afraid.

What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

The LORD our God is with us and for us. He says, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Therefore we can boldly say, The LORD is my Helper. I will not fear!

Believing comes by hearing, by hearing God’s Word. Take Him at His Word and walk with Him by believing that it will be as He has spoken.

Fear not, dearly beloved.
