A Pandemic Worse Than Coronavirus

Dearly beloved of God, there is a pandemic worse than Coronavirus spreading around the world. Too few Christians know that we are who God says we are, that we have what God says we have, and that we can do what God says we can do. We need the immunization of God's Word against this pandemic so we can believe it.

The only way we can know these things is to know what God reveals about them in His Word. Once we know these truths we can believe them, renew our minds to the revelation, and then walk out on them with believing confidence.

All that we are, all that we have, and all that we can do revolves around Christ and his accomplishments. These truths are recorded in the Church Epistles, the epistles of Romans through II Thessalonians.

Who does God say we ARE? Let's look at some of them.

We are the called of Jesus Christ. In him, we are beloved of God, and we are called to be saints. A saint is a holy one, one who is sanctified by the gift of holy spirit, which is the spirit of sonship. Since we are born again of God’s spirit, God is our Father and we are His children. Since we are God’s children, we are heirs of God, and we are joint-heirs with Christ. We are the Church, which is the body of Christ, and we are members in particular. We are sealed with the holy spirit that was promised; it is the down payment of our redemption until Christ returns to gather us up to him. We are God’s dwelling place by the spirit.

Now let’s consider what we HAVE in Christ by the grace of God.

Since we confessed Jesus as Lord, and believed that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved. We have salvation and sonship. We have sonship rights. We were justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, and we have the remission of sins.

By believing we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, we have access into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of receiving the glory of God. We have been delivered from the wrath that is to come. Now grace reigns through God’s justness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. There is therefore no more condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.

We have the life-giving spirit of Christ within us. We have access to the Father by the spirit, and we are to boldly use the access having confidence by the right way of believing in Christ.

In Christ, we have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm. We are complete in Christ, and we have been completely filled with all that he accomplished in all of us. The Father freely gives us all things with His Son. This should give you an idea of some of the things we have in Christ.

We can DO what the Word of God says we can do.

For example, Jesus Christ said, “…he that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.”

These are his words. He went to the Father, and he made this available to all who believe on him.

God is Spirit and we born of His spirit. We can do the works that spirit enables us to do; it is power from on high. It is spiritual ability and it may be manifested to worship God, to pray in the spirit; to receive information by revelation; and to do the works that Jesus Christ did.

We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We can be transformed by renewing our minds to who we are in Christ Jesus. We can walk in love as Christ loved us. We can walk in the complete reality of the new birth with all of its rights, privileges, and powerful ability. We can walk worthy of the calling in which we were called. We can be bold witnesses by the power of His spirit. We can live each day in the hope of obtaining the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ when he returns.

Dearly beloved, we are who God says we are, we have what He says we have, and we can do what He says we can do. Take His Word for it and believe it. Let's put a stop to this pandemic.
