Firm and Unalterable
Dearly beloved of God, God our Father provided us with the foundation for our believing. He made Jesus Lord, and He raised him from the dead. What God accomplished in Christ Jesus is unalterable.
Believing is to have trust and confidence in information we receive from God. God sets the terms of what we are to believe – not us. The right way of believing comes by hearing, by hearing the Word of God. The foundation that God gave for our believing does not vary from one person or group to another. It is unalterable.
The Lord Jesus Christ and what he accomplished is the foundation God gave for our believing. We walk with God by believing what He says.
If we are to practically apply what Christ accomplished we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds, thinking soberly according to the measure God has given us to believe. He wants us to believe who we are in Christ.
God conceived, planned, prepared, and accomplished the reality in Christ by the good pleasure of His Will. If we are to understand what He accomplished in Christ we must study His Word so we know what He had in mind concerning the plan of redemption.
Everything from being born again of the spirit from God and becoming His children, to the hope of our inheritance and coming glory is unalterable; nothing can change it.
We are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus on the basis of his good works so that we may walk in what he accomplished.
The world is chaotic, but God is our delivering God regardless of what the world throws at us. The adversary is powerless concerning what God did in Christ; it is an accomplished reality. Our salvation in Christ, as well as the adversary’s doom is fixed, and there is nothing he can do about it. The Word of God is unalterable.
In whatever circumstances you find yourself, you are who God says you are, you have what God says you have, and you can do what God says you can do. Stand on the foundation God has given for our believing.
Take God at His Word; He is faithful, able, and willing to perform what He has promised, and He will deliver you.
Utilize your God-given access to His throne of grace. Pray without ceasing; pray until you have the answer you seek.
Look to the Father for the answers you need. If you lack wisdom, ask your Father; He generously gives wisdom to those who ask Him. He promises to direct our paths; look to Him for the guidance you need. You are His child, go to Him.
Trust God at His Word concerning your health, your finances, your peace of mind, your…fill in the blank. He is your delivering God. Cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you. He hears and delights in your prayers. Who else cares for you as He does? He is your Father; go to Him.
Hide God’s Word in your heart; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. He gives peace that surpasses understanding, and it will protect your heart and mind.
Be at peace in your heart. You are not alone, God your Father is always with you, and He is for you. He works for good with those who love Him. Do not underestimate Him, dearly beloved, He is almighty in resources to supply, support, and defend you, and He is willing to do it.
Dearly beloved, God has given us a firm foundation for our believing; it is an accomplished reality, and it is unalterable. Stand on it.
